I just got the new oculus three and I wanted to get one of my animatronic characters created from scratch because I’m new to all this, I I haven’t had the best of luck. I had somebody from Nigeria say they could do it for $250 but I kind of think that’s a little sus. Is there any reputable person that can create the avatar for around $150 or is there a website that offers such service?

As someone who animates in blender, if you don’t have any experience with blender and/or modeling, don’t use this option unless you are willing to take on a huge challenge! I can do a lot of basic modeling in blender, but nothing like a vrchat model, and I’ve been using blender for years now. Not to discourage anyone, I’m just warning you, if you just want a free easy model, don’t chose this. If you’re wanting a crazy model and are willing to put effort into it, then of course give blender a go! ~ You local blender animator

Me with half a years experience and already making my own avatar rn be like 😃

a few years ago when I played this game I went around a few furry worlds asking furries about their avatars. Some made the avatars themselves but A LOT of them paid 500-2k for their random furry eye-destroying avatar and it just blew my mind. So I busted out laughing when you showed that AD for $300

@@CASS1__ There's some actual insane people on that vrchat. There's a place called FurryHub or some shit and there's just these balloon ass/tit horrific furry people having very loud internet sex just in public. A real experience to tell your grandchildren.

@@oskar3897 Step out of your safe space then because I put less than 50 hours into the game and ran into an infinite amount of actual psychopaths. I posted some of the bs footage I managed to record on this yt acc. ERPers, furries fucking, people talking about how they would graphically kill you irl. terrible.

I LOVE your teaching style. Chill, but focused. You anticipate my questions in my head and answer them (the whole “how to import” little detour - you know and think through and EXPLAIN what’s going on and why it matters. The music, your voice, pacing. And entertaining. 🙏❤️

I'm currently working on the video comparing various tiers of Fiverr avatars. I have 2 of the avatars done already, but the most expensive option is taking much longer than expected to get done. I'll post the video here in the pinned comment when it's done! It will be a video comparing $15 vs $60 vs $150 avatars.

Two things! First, I'd like to see what other Fiverr people are making, always fun. Second, I have worked quite a bit at rigging skeletons and weight painting in Blender and would love to help, or at least give you some tips!

Going to try both Tafi and Ready Player Me. Both seem interesting. I've used Blender before but some texturing is the death of me. I also have never rigged at either and everyone I've talked to has said rigging is a nightmare.

If you're stilly trying, use a free trial of substance painter once you make a model

Rigging is a much less creative process than the rest, it's more of methodical trial-and-error with educated guesswork. To be honest, when it came to 3d modeling, it was the easiest for me to pick up because it felt obvious, like "yes the arm bone moves the arm, but now I have to spend time making sure the arm moves correctly". It was a lot of work, but it was much different compared to texturing and modeling. I can't draw anything good or do anything creative, so that's probably why it was the easiest for me to pick up, plus it felt really satisfying seeing my models move

Panda: Vroid is hard Me: *using for the first time before watching this vid* It's easy and fun!

You can buy an avatar base and then customize it in Unity as well. Be aware it is a huge learning curve!

Fivvr video is needed big time. Fivvr is a mine field of experts, amatures, incompetents, and scammers. Many of the low price people are just ripping avatars others have made and reselling them. If the artists doesn't tell you they plan to keep a copy of your avatar for in game testing or self promotion don't buy anything from them. If they don't care enough to test or showcase what they made, they aren't going care enough to make anything thats good enough to worth your money.

Oh myyy gosh finaaalllyyy thanks you soooooo much!! I gotts check it out soon I for reaallz was about to give up looking but you listed so much im a giant anime fan gotta look into it. Hopefully nothing stupid happens like the site or download whatever starts shutting down. Im like super super lazy to check it out right now but on games I can take up to an hour or more just creating my charater. It still depends on what you are used to making in blender. if you started using blender by modelling simple things that would improve your blender skills (like a normal person, and you should do this btw don't end up like me) that would make that a lot easier. However stupid me decided that I wanted to make cars so I spent the next 2 and a half years making cars. I can do that really well now along with other manmade objects however whenever I try to do any living thing it just looks either super uncanny or doesn't even work at all.

Ok, so I had doubts when I had to upgrade my account to use Ready Player Me avatar, it costed no money and I was able to use it, thank you.

One other one I will put here is game models. If you dont wanna be anime, or a generic person, or a furry then ripping game models worked well for me. I managed to do several demons from doom eternal using vega as they all come rigged straight from files however the easyness will depend of course on the game

I have used fiverr to get a cheep model done in blender for me & then u can auto rig it & fix that in blender & then convert it to VRM that Vtubers use & that can be converted to VRchat, So this could give me more base models to think about editing in Blender or unity

nowadays vroid has a lot of presets if you dont want to go in and spend a lot of time adjusting things or making them from scratch. don't need to do anything but click the stuff you want and adjust some sliders, similar to other avatar creation programs. and even just the preset stuff can look pretty good

hey,do you know how to do those action things? dunno what they are called,for what im making theres something i wanna do with them,its the tab where the emotes are,and for some avatars theres a sub menu for them,like toggleable stuff. but for what im doing,bassicly its a helmet going up/down

@@Crown987 mmmmmm thats a tall order sir. Look up Phia, she made a good tutorial on how to do that. I would recommend bringing it into blender to do some of those changes but if you want quick and easy (as least as far as Vroid avatars on quest go) her tutorial is how to do it.

@@Crown987 In that case, just make the avatar like she does in Vroid, then use blender, find a vroid to blender plugin, use that, and then upload it like you would any other quest version of an avatar.

VRoid is very hard to import since it only imports as PC (Quest avatars can be made, but the textures get really messed up) Also, the face tends to break on them.

Unfortunately you can't download Tafi anymore, but I wonder if you could still make avatars with it if you already have it

I paused this video on the vroid part, because i remember i used that sometimes. Spent like... 5 hours on texturing the clothes and messing with the parameters to make a character of mine. I have learned, making corsets in vroid is a headache, but possible

I can't really explain those things in detail as those are quite large but I give you some key words! ^^ Look for "Blender Shapekeys to unity" and "unity vrchat tutorial animations" also "blender 2.8 shapekeys"

im working on a costum avatar in Blender. The hardest is that i need to create my own costum clothing, and i cant use some comon methods because its a special nog coat, so i have to model it completely by Hand. Maybe after that i can finally create avatars for a little bit of money

i use vroid and that thing took me months to get to where i am. if u ever use vroid for vrchat, eith commission someone or get learning lol.

I usually record VRchat with OBS. Most of my videos is me talking as my VRchat avatar. If I don't show up as an avatar, and just need a voice over, I use Reaper.

I'm looking for a quest avatar, that's an anime soviet union sniper with a cloak or the small soviet hat. And I don't know if I can make these on my quest since I don't have a PC or know how to make anything since I'm quite stupid
