You are so welcome!
Use a thimble to push pins. Your fingers won’t get so sore! Beautiful idea!
I'm enjoying your tutorial. Always wanted to do it and now I can with your teaching. Great!!!! Will do for my 6 years old greategrandaughter that love to decorate her tree. Will teach how to do them. She is very crafty herself. Thank you so much. Felt you were talking right here with me..

Aw! That's so sweet! I hope you enjoy making them! I'm sure she will treasure the ornaments made by you
I like what you did with the pens with the tiny little pearl heads those are cute. It really adds to it I think what I would do is put one of those right beside the ones that you're saying that is showing and nobody's gonna know that it was ever showing cause it has that little pearl head that's gonna hide it. I like that that looks adds to it makes it pretty I think I'm gonna try mine with that with the little pearl pens at the end and I get all done. I'll just go back and add the pearl pens.
Little late to the party but these are gorgeous, I have lots of fabric that needs using up and have lots of pearl pins so going to give it a go. Thank you 🫶🏼🫶🏼

Awesome! Thank you!
I just started my first fabric ornament today. I used elastic bands to divide it into 6 sections before marking it. Loved watching what you did and will definitely try this - need supplies. Thank you for your time. 🙂

That's a great idea! I will be using the elastic bands next time I make ornaments instead of just eyeballing it. Thank you for sharing! 🥰 and thank you for watching too!
Thanks for this easier tutorial on these ornaments. Keep videoing!!

careful... they're addicting 🤣 You'll be wanting to make "just one more" before you run out of pins and the cycle will start all over again!
VERY COOL love he way You did both !!!!
WOW, what a great tutorial. Yours looked so much easier, especially for beginners, than some others i have watched. This was so easy to follow and i will definitely be making an ornament using this method. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Shirley from the UK.

Oh my goodness!! Have fun!! 🥳
You need to use larger squares. That way your pins won’t show.
I use a rubber band to go around the ball to make sure that I get the lines straight

A rubber band is genius. Way more precise than my eyeballing it method 🤩 Thank you for sharing Ann!
I used silk pins they are tinier
If I have a larger styrofoam ball,like 15"x15",what size squares do you need to make a larger ornament? Please reply back. Also what if I have a quilt square that has a printed picture or printed words like peace,joy,etc.and or picture of a cameo figure? How would you assemble the squares on the foam ball,cone,to make the ornament?

This is a good question! I haven't played with a ball as large as that, but I would definitely go much bigger than the 2.5" squares... Maybe 5" squares? or 6"? It would have to be something that you play with to get the proportions correct. Please let me know if you continue to work on this. I would love to see what it turns out like! 🤩🤩
Do you have the directions to print?
How do you hide the pins I did my first pinecone and I like the way you make the ornaments
@ISeeStarsQuilting
Жыл бұрын
Most of the pins will be covered by the overlaying fabric, but if you have a hard time getting it just perfect, I suggest fun pearl pins or decorative pins! Make it look like you absolutely meant for it to be that way 😘😘 That's my secret for mistakes, Mark lol shhhh
I have made the pinecone I haven't done the ball one as of yet it's fun doing the ornaments but I really want to make a pineapple ornament you have a taturial on one ?

I do not... But that sounds absolutely adorable! I'll have to look into it and see if I can create a tutorial for one this year 🍍
I am worried about the needles and curious toddlers. Can it be glued instead?
@ISeeStarsQuilting
Жыл бұрын
I would say yes that it can be glued... I will say when my kids were still at the "let's see how everything works" stage, these ornaments were very high on the tree 😂 I even had a strand of garland hung across a large doorway and hung our special ornaments from because I felt like no one could touch them up there lol
