How to Make a Carrot Slinky and Cucumber Garnish

How to Make a Carrot Slinky and Cucumber Garnish for Sushi Decoration
Get the garnish machine here: amzn.to/1R6Mho5
This video shows you how to make a carrot slinky and cucumber garnish, both great techniques that will make your sushi dishes stand out from the rest. The video shows two ways to make each, an easy way and a hard way, the hard way is manually using a Japanese knife and the easy way involves a specially designed kitchen machine which makes it automatically.
At the end of the video tutorial there is a choice for next week's video between "chicken sushi roll" or "letter sushi roll", please leave your vote in the comment section below.

I will give a try with the double fry. I thought the problem was with the high sugar in beets. I have been using the spaghetti cutter, cutting the beet, dipping it them in boiling water, only long enough to soften them slightly, and serving it with blue cheese dressing and toasted pecans. Fantastic and so easy. Impresses everyone that has tried it.

I have a similar machine but oriented vertically. Here are some alternative uses besides those shown above. chop carrot curls into short shreds for coleslaw, zucchini spaghetti, onion strings for salad or deep fry, deep fried potato string nests, hash brown pancakes, shredding vegetables for banh mi or filling various types of crepes, creating daikon stacks. If you core an apple and put it through with the flat blade, put it back together and stuff it with butter and brown sugar then bake it ... well I'll let imagination do the rest.
