thanks posting. some thoughts for you and your subs. in this design, a large part of wing rigidity comes from what is normally a light-weight covering. this results in the wing having a less stable distribution of mass. because the main spar is not structural, it does not need to be continuous. ribs could be mounted using ca or glue, sparingly, and some miter braces. this would make the wing lighter. in a glider, keeping weight low is VERY important. where possible, use ca or glue, sparingly. not tape. the profile used for the main wing is not ideal. the wing has a thin leading edge; this will cause turbulence. a two-surface wing should always have a rounded leading edge. see the clark-y (v1) profile; note that the profile is 'tallest' at about thirty percent. the stabilizers should be, just large enough to be effective; this keeps weight as low as practical. here, the sweep angle of the horizontal stabilizer leading edges is excessive. a triangle of material could be removed from the leading edges, beginning at a point on the fuselage, about one inch aft, out to the existing wing tip. in a similar way, the slope of the vertical stabilizer leading edge could be increased, a bit. when weight in the tail is reduced, less counter-weight is needed, in order to balance the model, correctly. the conventional way of making a dihedral wing is via the use of a wing center-section. the main wing of a model aircraft should be balanced. in order to balance a dihedral wing, turn the wing / model upside-down. on this model, the distance between the stabs and main wing is rather short. when the model is correctly balanced and goes straight when tossed, adjust elevators to trim the model for best glide performance. if a model flies particularly well, a bit of rudder deflection can be used, in order to cause the model to fly in a continuous slight turn. cheers clark-y v1 profile upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/6a/Clark_y.JPG

Nice plane. I like it. Why not make a spinner and wing tips with some sort of "papier maché" or something. The spinner could serve as nose ballast.
