Slava, I make simple jewelry and different things, only as a hobby. Nothing even close to this. I just wanted to take a moment to tell you, from what I have seen here and on Etsy, your work is AMAZING. These videos are great and it is incredible to watch you work. You are truly an artist my friend. You should be very proud, what you do is beautiful. You are an inspiration for me. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world through your videos.

I’ve needed to make box clasps for several projects. All the designs I’ve seen are too light duty and require precision sheet metal bends. Your design is much simpler to make and is also robust. Thank you for posting the video.

this is awesome! thank you so much, love the chain too! i am going to make a 18k bracelet and was search for the clasp design i am grateful to have found this, i was wondering if 18k would work for the spring board thingy or if i should do 14k as it is harder and would have more spring to it, or if since its harder it would work harden and snap sooner.

I truly appreciate your skills brother! I thank you for your KZread channel, I'm a subscriber. I don't speak Russian so I don't know if you have already mentioned it. I've tried to creat this link and found the wire gage and inside diameter of the coil seems to be a critical ratio. Can you please tell me what your wire gage and mandrel size is?

Did you use 18 G sheet for that clasp? Is the spring half made from thinner stock than the box half? Great video, loved it!

  • @ChainStudio

I misunderstood what you mean about "18 G sheet"...sorry.. I make a box of 1mm thickness. Spring about 0.9 mm. The spring of the same silver. If making spring thickness smaller, it does not work. There is a new video of the same clasp - kzread.info/dash/bejne/naCl0piGpNOYZ7w.html
