Great tutorial Mr. Kreutinger. I made a box puppet once all from cardboard, hot glue, duct tape, packing tape and other materials. I learned from a tutorial by a woman named Janet who had made box puppets for a production of Avenue Q: School Edition. If you wanna see mine, I can tweet it to you.

You could simplify the trigger mechanism by making the mouth rest in the open position. Pulling the trigger would push the mouth closed.
