My grandmother taught me to make my bed first thing in the morning; it starts your day off right and when you come home after a crappy day you'll feel the stress leave you when you see your beautiful bed waiting for you. She was absolutely right.

I let my bed open at the daytime! At night we are sweating 1-1,5 ltrs . It goes in to the bed. So the bed needs fresh air! So. Bed open and window open! Only than you can be sure to have a nice fresh bed in the evening! I make my bed nicely if i aspect visitors who could ask to see the house!

User. . I believe the reason for the tag is to regulate what the mattress companies used. The tag states what it is made of and if not up to code by state standards the company can get a fine. The line says “under penalty of law this tag not to be removed except by the consumer” so it’s not illegal to remove them since you are the consumer.
@itsme-rt7nz
4 жыл бұрын
I used to think that too! But back when I was a kid, I think it only said "Do not remove under penalty of law." I don't think it said anything about post-consumer. That made it very confusing because we didn't know who they were talking to.

I make my bed everyday, partly because I love it made, and mostly because if it isn't made, I feel incomplete. Making my bed is how I begin my very organized day.

Awesome video. After 29 years of sleeping on beds... can't believe I just learned to make a nice proper bed!
Thanks so much for this. I make my bed daily and it's almost the first thing I do. A bed can be 25 percent of the room. So when that's done, and it only takes two or three minutes, then a quarter or more of the room is perfect. Yay!

I love the trick of folding back the end of the sheet/coverlet to create either a square corner or a tailored look. I run an Airbnb rental and make the bed especially inviting with plumped quilts and duvet covers. Always gives me a 5 star rating. I definitely opt for Bedroom number 3 and love the pillow layouts on your blue bedroom. Smashing.

My bed is my cloud. My room is my sanctuary. I try to make my bed every day. I've been told more than once that my room is like a wonderful b-n-b, Haha, it's really much nicer. Great bedding and a heated mattress pad, ya can't get much better.
Every morning here too...after it has had a chance to air out...and if I happen to forget, I will make it as soon as I see it....even if it is close to bedtime...that might sound strange, but it keeps me in the habit, and it is still rewarding to me. 💖 I love option 3 the best. But all three beds look amazing!!! Thank you so much for the tips, and demonstration!!! 😘
This is what I have been looking for. With all the steps needed to not only make the bed, but to make it look good and inviting. Thank you Rebecca.
I fix my bed everyday. I feel weird if it's messed up, even if I'm just laying in it for the day.
I liked number 3 the best! very luxurious! I try to make my bed every day, that being said I probably actually make it like once a week when I change the sheets lol
I want to leave a very positive comment here. I loved what I saw so much (watched last night), that I did what I could this morning to imitate what was done, with what I had available, and it took not more than a minute to copy what I saw. It looks so beautiful, and I have been looking for ideas like this, that show you how! Thank you so much!!!!
The last option is the most inviting with the duvet and the decorative pillow that pulls all the colors together. Love it!!
Seven! I have made my bed, every day for at least 15 years. I started one day and never, never left the house without making the bed again.
I'm sitting here watching this on an unmade bed... I'm getting up to make it now lol SF
Jenna’s mom Beth here. My husband was career military so I have been in different climates. Sometimes instead of a coverlet I have used a blanket. To get the magazine look and also stay warm I was taught to put two comforters inside a duvet; looks fuller. And the best thing we did was invest in 4 really good pillows to sleep with. We also used white pillowcase protectors with zippers underneath regular pillow cases. Extra decorative euro pillow shams and throw pillows didn’t need to be expensive. Also 40 years and a gaggle of children and grandchildren the extra fancy pillows weren’t always employed. Your videos are highly enjoyable and appreciated.
Love your videos. I make my bed every day. Your first option taught me how to fold the sheet and quilt at the top to create lovely layers. Thank you, Janet Greene
Actually, my husband makes our Bed every morning while I go down stairs and make the breakfast . He does a great job, and breakfast is served when he's finished.
I make the beds every single day, so its nice and smooth to get in at night. Plus, you can see into the bedrooms from the open floor plan if the floor pkan.
This is the best made bed that I've ever seen on youtube. Already watched this a few months ago but didn't save. Had a hard time looking for this video again, glad I did now!!! 💞
Every morning. My husband always likes the turned down look. He says it looks more inviting when he comes to bed. So, it makes it easy. I started putting out sheet on flipped over so when I turn it down the nice top side shows instead of the dull underside.
I find making the bed every morning therapeutic and I love coming home after work to a "fresh" bed :-)
I am crazy in making all the beds in my home! As for the options you used Rebecca I loved them all! A lovely made bed in a home makes the whole home tidy!!!
I make my bed every day. Even if I'm sick and will be jumping right back into it. A must!
Thank you for sharing this information!! I like all of them!! What was most helpful was how to set up the flat sheet and the coverlet! It makes sense and looks very nice!
I'm speechless. I've learned so much in just 7 minutes. thank you
I love to make my bed. It makes the whole house seem more orderly and cleaner. I like all the options but especially the last one. I have 7 pillows on my bed, a duvet and a coverlet. 😁
I’m excited to try out look 3 once all my “grown up” bedding arrives. I couldn’t find a coverlet/bedspread. I kept getting quilts in my store searches so I got two quilts that were the same but different colors. I hope it works out!
I forgot about that 1st video, that was when I started following you!! Wow look at where you today! So proud of you!! I chose #2, I am glad I am not the only one who makes their bed everyday.
Once every couple of months......Our mornings tend to be down to the wire so it's either the bed looks pretty or I do.

Thank you for this cuz I never really knew how to properly make a bed. 👍
It didn't used to be this way but in the last year or so, every single day. It's just so much more inviting, calm & cozy (and I accomplish something the minute I wake up).
I make the bed daily. It feels better when I get in to sleep. I love to spray lavender on them every few days. Thanks for the tips. New subscriber!!
Tip Favorite is #3 thank you for this video. It really inspired me.

Me too plus a mattress protector-a high quality, thin one. My beds look so clean without the added bulk. Easier and lighter to launder. This other stuff, is nice for show, but for every day, is a real hassle to get off, heavy, and laundering and taking in and out of washer and drier, and carrying it back to room... yea not that fun. We see she needed help from her staff to make it. It's heavy. Also not a fan of leaving your bed partially uncovered...I'm paranoid if a bug might get in, plus there is dust even if not visible to the eye. You go to bed with dust all over it. Nope. My beds look really nice with simplicity, and I know it's clean when I go in.
Every daaaaaay I'm 12 and I wanna be an interior designer too I really like that luxury minimalist look but I have major ocd so that would prob be a good job for me after redoing my friends house and writing blueprints and decos! 😃🤗

I used to live with a married couple for a short time. It was cute because every once in a while I would hear the wife tell her husband, "The last one out of the bed, makes the bed." (Signal for him to go back in and make the bed) I thought that was clever because it is also a great way to get up and out & to avoid sleeping in all day if you don't wanna be the one to make the bed.
I don’t wanna brag but I make my bed everyday! And yes I’m a MAN that’s cares about bedroom Appeal
I make my bed every morning as soon as I get up. I love walking back into my room with it nice and freshly set!
I was taught in 2nd grade to make the bed. So, I always have. I love really good soft silky sateen sheets, large sleeping pillows, blanket, duvet to dress up the bed beautifully. Neutral solid colors only. No prints. Soft fuzzy polar bear creme color pillows for decor. Not overdone. Just cozy casual style. 💗
Everyday...I love the look when I come home from a long day.

I make my bed every morning BEFORE I go to the bathroom. It feels and looks so nice to come out of the bathroom with the bed already made; a sense of accomplishment first thing in the morning - even before coffee! Yay!

While reading the comments I remembered that my grandmother taught me how to make a bed. .... I don't make my bed. I sometimes fold up the blankets though. It's something.
Very stupid question but let's say I pick option 3: when it's time to go to sleep, what exactly am I covering myself with? The coverlet and a comforter? Very pretty though!
@mayragossettandrade2418
5 жыл бұрын
I think with look 3 the comforter is for looks or for functional use in the winter time. I’d use all blankets in the winter. For hot nights only use the quilt and coverlet and use the comforter for display.
Definitely option 1. Its most practical for everyday use
Thank you! This really helps during self quarantine days.
Bed made daily. Option 3. But all I have is comforter
I never make my bed, rather let the mattress and bedding air out. A Kingston University study showed that leaving a bed unmade during the day can remove moisture from the sheets and mattress so the mites will dehydrate and eventually die.
