    i make my bed everyday, while my coffee is making. Growing up you always made your bed, with hospital corners, before coming to breakfast and especially before leaving the house. There's nothing better than a neatly made bed, and even better on freshly laundered bedding.

    I have always made my bed everyday, ever since a child. I can’t image ever “NOT” making the bed. I am sure it can’t be as restful and rewarding as going to bed in a cosy well made bed every night.. I make the bed with the duvet under the coverlet. The coverlet is made as a top cover for the bed. We do not use a top sheet as the cover for the duvet is used as a top sheet. I wash the sheets, Duvet cover and pillowcases every weekend. The coverlet I wash every couple weeks. The coverlet comes with matching Shams which go on the extra pillows. These extra pillows can be used for support when reading in bed, but not for sleeping. Like you, my husband and I, sleep on two pillows. We only use white sheets and pillow cases which always feel fresh and clean. Our Duvet cover is also white and cotton. I find a clean comfortable well made bed, important for a good nights rest.

  • @Elin.Noller
    @Elin.Noller2 жыл бұрын

    I do agree that getting into bed after a shower after putting down fresh sheets is the BEST! BUT I'm very very confused about the "american" way of making the bed and the type of sheets you use, AND what layer you sleep in. So I have a few questions and hope someone can answer them for me. So 1. what layer do you sleep ON and what layer do you COVER yourself with? 2. How much of this gets removed when going to bed? Aside from the obvious throw pillows. 3. what is the purpose of the top sheet and coverlet? Here where I live you would have fitted sheet, then the duvet with duvet cover, and you sleep between those two layers. And when you make the bed you would put a bed spread (or coverlet?) on top and maybe some throw pillows. I'm very confused by having the top sheet and coverlet in the middle...

  • @poptarget

    Looks too complicated for me. I just have a nice comfy fabric mattress protector, then I smack that fitted sheet on top and cover with duvet. I have one for winter and one for summer. I have two pillows. I don't understand the need for decorative cushions on the bed. I don't bring my guests upstairs to see bed. And I don't need them for sleeping. Do they just get thrown on the floor?

    I love your bedding so much but I have a big problem of it. My husband is quite tall so he hates to put lots of pillows on the bed. However I’d love to make our bed like this you’ve showed in the video. If I put pillows like this, what should I do when we lie on the bed? Should I put down all pillows on the floor? Should I prepare a big basket for that? Please give me your idea to make me and my husband both be happy.....
