This plush fruit project is simple and cute, and the tutorial will take you through all of the stages step-by-step. It's a fairly quick DIY and is a fun craft idea for anyone with a sewing machine.

(Find the pdf & jpg files in the 'Cut Out the Template' section. To print the pdf on multiple A4 sheets rather than a single A3 sheet, go to 'Print' and then click 'Poster'. Make sure to scale to 100% without overlap)

How would you go about making a k-nife plushie? One of my wife's favorite webtoons is a Penguin who carries around/loves k-nives (he also apparently has a k-nife plushie, pillow, & curtains). When she saw that panel (with the plushie), she lamented that she couldn't find those kinds of things for sale & she doesn't think she could make it very easily. I'd really love to either buy or make her one and your banana plushie reminded me enough that I figured I'd ask you, since you would have a better idea of how to make the pattern/plush. I would greatly appreciate your insights! Also, love the banana plushie! :D

Thank you! Hmm interesting question...I think to make a k-nife, you'd need something like stiff card in the centre, then cover it with wadding and then a fabric like fleece over the top (the 2 layers - front & back - sewn together around the outside edge). With it being 2D, it shouldn't be that difficult. As for a penguin, it should be possible to find a pattern/tutorial for sewing one of those elsewhere on the internet. Good luck with your project!

Sorry for the late reply, I have now uploaded a pdf file to the 'Cut out the Template' section of this page: www.instructables.com/DIY-Banana-PLUSHIES-Whole-Peeled-Fruit-Sewing-Patt/ And what you should be able to do (if you can only print A4 rather than A3) is go to 'Print' and then click 'Poster'. Make sure to scale to 100% without overlap :)
