Very good. Thank you. But for some reason I can't turn your cuts marks and cardboard size requirements into a generalized formula in terms of L W H box desired. Could you tell us them? Thank you.

Because it is a 12x12 (base) with 7-inch sides, he starts off by measuring the distance in from the two sides and makes the 2 black lines at 7 inches. Then to make the scoring and cutting lines, think of how the box will be put together and folded. The first is at 7 inches because that is your first side - sides are 7 inches, the second is going to be the base of the box (bottom) - the base is 12", so it is 12" farther, the third is going to be another side, so it is 7" again, and the final is going to be the other base (let's say the top) so it is 12" again. That is why he has marks at 7", 19", 26", and 38" (side+bottom+side+top). To get a box of different dimensions, just plug in your dimensions in place of the 12 or the 7 in this equation. If your box is not square, then you'll just need to start with a narrower or wider starting piece.

I like your activity videos what will be the measurements for a 12" by 8" by 5" box. More importantly how do you arrive at the various measurements used to make the box. Will be much appreciated.
