I'm looking for information on how to synthesize sounds 8 bit from games on a synthesizer. are there any ideas? how to make a sound like in Chip and Dale when he picks up a box?

For 8-bit sounds using a synthesizer, I would use simple waveforms like square, triangle, and noise. Try using pulse width modulation with the square waveform. Do not use too many processing effects like reverb; however, it can be worth experimenting with EQ/Saturation to mimic old TV outputs/colorization. For emulating the DPCM, you can downgrade the bit depth of the sample. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the Chip and Dale sound. Hope that helps!

Unfortunately, yes. No idea when or if it'll be back up. There are other forks of FamiTracker, so this information is still relevant at least!
