I have an old 350 that still works ok... the 351 works much better. (my company owns a 350 & 351... the 351 flys out of the job box first every morning)

You should never clean powdered combustion residue with a dry brush. You are simply flinging the particles into the air and potentially breathing them in. The lead is a no-no. Either the surface or the brush should be treated with a light coat of liquid lead cleaner first.

Thanks for the comment. We acknowledge the need to be safe when cleaning our tools and encourage our customers to follow safety guidelines in the user manual. If a cleaner is used, it should not be sprayed onto the tool to avoid damage or reduced performance. Hilti offers lead-free cartridges with Clean-Tec technology.
