How to Lucid Dream

Learn how to lucid dream. Have you ever wished you could take control of a dream like in a video game? Maybe you could be the hero, fly around in the sky, and have incredible, otherworldly adventures. You could go beyond the rules of our material world!
If that sounds far fetched to you, maybe it’s because you haven’t heard of a phenomenon called “lucid dreaming.” Did you know there’s a whole, wide world of people using dreams to accomplish all kinds of things?
Thomas Edison, Einstein, and Salvador Dali were using altered brain states to make things. Psychotherapists and PTSD patients are benefiting from the healing effects of lucid dreaming. And regular dreamers like you and me are consistently having incredible hypnagogic experiences in the mysterious land between waking and sleeping.
So how does it all work? Could you even get rid of nightmares? When you hear what Rob Counts found in CIA documents, what scientists are working on today, and what some of you have shared right in KZread comments, you’ll be on your way. Here’s how to lucid dream.

Just a reminder about our exciting news regarding our new 2024 Metaphysical content! We have two types of content we will be adding to the channel: *New deep-dive episodes hosted by Rob about crazy rabbit holes that you'll see once a week exclusively on KZread. *Documentary-style episodes hosted by both John and Rob, released less often, that will take Metaphysical to the next level! If you’re looking for our podcast, it hasn’t gone anywhere - we will continue to publish those on podcast platforms like Spotify and Apple Music! You can also watch the full podcasts here: rise.tv/show/metaphysical So make sure to head over to those platforms if you still want to experience those episodes! Why are we doing this? It’s because we want Metaphysical to reach millions of people, and KZread (for some reason) doesn’t prefer to push podcast-style format shows. We are doing our best to be creative, innovative, and improve our quality every day. We hope you enjoy all of the content we have cooking up. We love you guys and thank you for the support!

As a lucid dreamer I would say that the hardest thing is to stabilize dreams. Unfortunately they don’t last much. Some people say that they know how to do it. I wish I knew. Everything that I tried didn’t work. It’s true you can change things. It’s vivid and real. You can feel the texture of objects etc. it’s incredible!

Absolute game changer I can have the dream as long as I want First of all stabilizing can be done with consciously using your senses, smell taste sound touch etc And what is easy and works best for me is just rubbing my hands together and not stopping lol Give this a shot and report back :-)

Before I knew about lucid dreams I would fly in my dreams. This got me interested in studying dreams for a hobby. I found an article in the periodical section of the library about lucid dreams. I studied and became very adept at lucid dreams. From their I tried to learn more about remote viewing but couldn’t find enough information to get anywhere. While studying for finals I left my body and floated out of the room. Out of body experience. Now at 63 I hardly dream at all.

@@metaphysicalshow I've been doing my own thing for years. It's kind of cool to hear you talk about it as a method. What I do is intention based. I started to hone it through meditation, and learning when to kind of step in before I fall asleep during deep meditation. My third eye gets really active with colors and imagery, that is a marker for me. I wish I could do it successfully all the time, but sleep happens a lot 💤

I've gone thru arches and ended up in a strange place and someone there told me I wasn't supposed to be there yet. Eventually I was able to escape, but I was chased by demons. I was on the run for months. I woke up completely and physically exhausted, only to learn it was one night. I've been to other planets as well. Humans are definitely not warmly accepted. All these dreams terrified me so much in high school, once I started smoking weed I found it helped the dreams to stop since I wasn't entering rem.

Ive found impossible items across a know time frame over multiple locations and been able to go to the target and observe its environment. I was coincidentally chosen for special testing in 3rd grade. They tried to get my mom to let them take me to a special program. The testing is covered across these released documents. I met them in the dream. They told me I need to act normal or ill give myself away to the others. They never said who the others were. It made me think of Inception tho. @@metaphysicalshow I don’t really attention to the story of the dream. I put my focus on how I’m feeling, like emotionally. If I can get into that state then it’s super easy to start the dream again. Now when I’m in the dream, I know I’m dreaming bc things that come really easy in real life are super hard. Like running or trying to make a phone call. When I notice that, I know I’m dreaming and then I can start controlling it.

@robcounts7106 Good question! I don't necessarily have a technique per se, but I noticed that I lucid dream deeper on days where I've been fully present in my reality, free of past or future thoughts. My lucid dreams strengthened as I remembered them more and more. As soon as I'd wake up, I'd remember parts of my dreams or note them down on my phone. Before I sleep, I make the intention to accept my other realities and make the intention to be lucid. I can control my dreams with ease now, feel every sense, and manifest the information of my dreams into my current reality. For example, I'm terrified of ice skating! In my lucid dream i became a pro skater, skating super fast and with no fear! Now I can skate in reality... It sounds mad, but my dreams have shaped the current me. I hope you get to experience it, because it's incredible!

I do remember in grade school our government came to our school and was told they wanted to test the difference between public schools and private schools for their study. They had you lay in a chair and concentrate on floating towards the sky until you came to a barrier we had to remove the barrier. The machine they had would test us if we completed their study. When I was a kid, I always had bad dreams so I started trying to be a dream master. I finally could fly away from monsters and bad people. I could change things in my dream or just go into another dream. As I got older I started having dreams of people I didn't know YET and dreaming of things that haven't happened YET. I've had many dreams come true and I started telling others about my dreams so I'd have a witness so when it happened they'd know too. They are very vivid and I remember every detail. Sometimes it comes true in a month or years, that part is hard to determine. I had one dream I woke up gasping for air and my friend says to me what's wrong with you so I told her about me being in a car accident, well a month later I was in a bad car accident and she remembered it. I'm 54 years old now and I'm very aware when I'm dreaming and can bring things into my dreams or just change them completely. I've also overcome two of my fears in dream state. I feel and think I can not only tap into the future but my spirit goes into the future and that's how I can see things I haven't experienced YET.

I noticed with Lucid dreams, you only have 3 chances to do something supernatural, after those chances you can’t do anything else such as flying running fast or teleporting. Also, changing the dream to much makes the dream aware in a sense I’ve noticed it starts to become more uncontrollable after a while. Honestly I prefer prophetic dreams or dreams that are symbolic referring to my growth in the future. They feel lucid but they have their own path. A lot more satisfying because when I wake up I have something to look forward to in the real world

Have you ever ended up in someone else's body looking out of their eyes like in that movie, being John malkovich? It's interesting because I remember my experience of this was not intentional and looking back, it was done on such a respectful way. I only saw things pertinent to the issue at hand but I saw nothing personal that would invade anyone space or show me anything too personal It was almost like there was a protective lock on anything too personal. I couldn't even hear. I could only feel the personas feelings and see out of their eyes and I was only shown a couple moments in time

This is amazing, conclusive to me after reading some of the comment context. From a very young age, more memorable from 6/ 8, I have been encouraged to pre program my dream, trying to put myself in the picture. The bedtime story Bambi , pat the animal cuddle thumper happy endings. I would talk loudly in my sleep, Dad would talk, trying to get me to slow down sometimes we communicated. Idid it in my late teens, I woke myself up shouting # uck that . Dad came in saying, "Stop swearing in your sleep . I told him i wasn't swearing. His reply was You know you are cut it out. You have control." I knew i was testing him, so coodose to Dad . Good on every one lets make this place a space of unfathomably experiences to learn , grow, and appreciate ourselves. we are all connected .

But aside from those small details its very very clear, i have a sorta second home there its crazy lol.. Once i was dreaming and talking to the person next to me while still dreaming that was a result of opiates possibly tho as id taken very strong painkillers at the time that happened.. Pretty sure dissasociatives like K can be used to train this state of mind too i believe but it must be real clean K and not an analog or RC or mixed with any either, DXM also but its way too unpredictable and harmful to be used/recommended unless its totally a last resort

Ther instant that thought happened I felt myself 'snap' back into my body and I 'woke' up again in a cold sweat and feeling like I was shaking/vibrating as when you strike a tuning fork. I've never been able to do that again and that was back in 1977. Guess I scared myself out of it and I rarely remember my dreams anymore. It's been far too long to be scared of something like that and maybe lucid dreaming is the way to start getting back to where I was so many years ago. Wish me luck!

Lucid dreaming isn’t far fetched. I know I’m in a dream.. I can tell myself this is not my reality & I can wake up. There’s a few ways to do it, you can look at your hands.. tap the inside of your palms.. count your fingers, if you have more or less digits, you’re dreaming. Since I lost my hair it’s easy for me now, as I’ve usually always got my hair back in dreams.. I know it’s not real.. happy lucid trips folks.😊😊

@robcounts7106 You can't. We'll, you can, but you keep getting different numbers. Your hands are like AI generated hands with random numbers of fingers. Another check is to look at a clock. Then look at it again. The time will be random. (This works best if you regularly wear a watch and are used to checking it.) Lucid dreams are very AI image like, and easy to realise if you look out for the inconsistencies.

Yet, out of all of them, the most profound thing to practice, that doesn't feel empty and also leads to dramatic shifts, is performing 'acts of kindness'. i won't spoil the punch line and tell you what happens, but enjoy. :)

This continued to the point where I had a dream and a few days later that dream literally came true… word for word, same scenery, same people… even though I had no idea who the people where in my dream. @@metaphysicalshow Side Note this was my first lucid dream. I knew I could just wake up, I remember I could look down at my hands to see if I had extra fingers, and it would automatically wake me up. However I decided not to because I want to know where this dream was headed, because I’m crazy like that. 🤪 (Part 1) I had a dream, it started with a man in a suit that appeared to be part of the secret service. He was leading a young deer into the woods, the dream was in the pov of a deer who would shift from boy back to deer. He walked this deer/boy for a bit before he exchanged the boy off to another man in a suit. As this man and young boy walked, I noticed a hunter who was fully disguised in camouflage hidden amongst trees. The Hunter then managed to grab this boy from the man and lead him to safety. (Part2) Then, the man entered this old abandon shack-like house in the woods. As he walks in he sees 3 barrels, 2 on the bottom one staked on top. As he sees them he notices a tiny note strolled up at the bottom of the barrel. He unravels it, the Hunter then looks concerned and shockingly says….(it was a last name given)to my knowledge the hunter was killed. However , when I woke up i had no recollection of it). I kept seeing the rest of my dream from “real life” perspective to television perspective. Watching it on the screen the “viewers discretion is advised” warning popped up for nudity and graphic images. (Part3) The Hunters autopsy is on the television. It displayed him naked on a table from his feet to his face. His face held a shocked horrific expression, you could see the terror in his eyes. His haunting face would then eventually become a slight grin , which chilled me to the core, even now as I write this. As the pathologist followed with the autopsy he continued to cut open his scalp, then his brain exposing foreign objects wedged inside like tiny trinkets, witchcraft items , and satanic emblems were all inside his brain. This is one of MANY! 😬🫣

I used binaural beats for a few months and got very good at staying awake as my brain shifted down to theta. I would see random images, like shapes, then maybe simple line drawings, floating by. One night I saw a full-blown "video" in 3d from a bird"s eye view. It was two helicopters crashing in midair. I thought, hmm, that means something important...and then the video repeated. I made a note to write it down when I stopped meditating. I wrote "helicopters" on a notepad and went to sleep after that meditation. The next morning I got up and forgot about the meditation. I started reading the news. The big story was that two helicopters had crashed into each other in midair in Iraq. It had happened a few hours before I woke up, and about 9 hours before I "saw" it happen in my meditation. It was shocking to know i saw those helicopters crashing hours before they did. I didnt know whst it meant, and it freaked me out. I stopped using binaural beats for a long time after thst. When i tried using them again, they no longer worked.

yes i've taught myself lucid dreaming from around 16 years old, i love the flying dreams or just smooth "roller blading" along the streets. I've teleported myself out of scary situations too. In regards to other wavelengths, i did an experiment when i was getting a bedside visitation and realised beings visit us and we can sense them while only on another wavelength. I was overcome by sleepiness / drowsiness, that's when i hear footsteps and voices entering my room, i heard the being come up beside me while i'm in the bed. I had to struggle but i "woke" myself up ie made my mind more alert and forced myself to wake up and opened my eyes, there was no one in the room and i no longer heard the voices and noises. i then closed my eyes and within a few mins i felt drowsy again, i could feel my brainwaves changing, and sense the being and hear voices again. I realised this is how they paralyse us, they force us to a sleepy state and do what they do. I forced myself to wake up again and fully alert in my brain. I wasn't able to fall asleep for many hours after that, not from lack of trying or fear (i wasn't scared), but i think my brainwaves were too messed up by then. I then realised all my visitation experiences i was incredibly sleepy/drowsy all the time, couldn't open my eyes but could still talk. I remember walking down corridors and talking but couldn't open my eyes coz they were so heavy and drowsy.

Ever since I started meditating I can lucid dream most of the time, and when I'm lucid dreaming it's so vivid it feels so real I can see everything an sometimes even feel it. Like pain or something that's if I'm dreaming I'm in a fight or I'm trying to escape something. I try too think of something more pleasant before I fall asleep, it doesn't always work, but what usually works is the fact I have control of what happens good or bad. I haven't ran into any dream police but I'm sure they will find me soon enough, like they use to in real life when I was an alcholic. Since I got clean lucid dreaming is so automatic most times. I use a loud ticking clock to get into lucid dreams. Ask myself, "I wonder what the time is?" a few times as I am drifting. As long as I remember this question, I then look for a clock. If you view a clock in a dream, you can not read the display/face. At this point you know your dreaming. Now the fun begins. I have never had a nightmare win since learning how to do this over 20 years ago. Nightmares can actually become fun. You take control. Good luck to those who are interested in this. Just found this channel last week I remember you from edge of wonder what happened to Ben? I like the videos with John but this style is better in my opinion. I've been lucid dreaming for about 8 years I've had a large handful of fully lucid dreams and hundreds of semi lucid dreams, I dream every night and have since I was a toddler if I don't it feels weird. Most of my lucid dreams end well under a minute and I never can really 'control' them, a lot of them have featured dark hallways and staircases that freak me out then I wake up. Most happen through in dream realization where something unbelievable happens and I realize I'm dreaming but one time I immediately started lucid dreaming right after falling asleep (that time seemed more similar to astral projection because i got out of bed realized i was dreaming and ran outside except it was daytime for some reason then i woke up). I even had a 3 part lucid dream a few years ago each segment was about a minute long and was a continuation of the previous part. This last thing might sound crazy but it's true in a lot of my semi lucid/vivid dreams I use ODM gear from Attack on Titan (I don't really like the show that much but find the gear fascinating) and have been doing so since 2017. The gear isn't always the same but the concept is "latch on to stuff and swing around" when I use it I'm lucid in terms of I know I'm using it and have to aim at things and use the triggers "although the gas propulsion doesn't always work I mostly swing like spidey" but I still don't realize I'm dreaming most of the time so it's basically semi lucid (sometimes the gear totally fails almost like those dreams when you fight someone and punch really slow) all in all it's extremely fun to use. Keep the videos coming Rob this channel deserves way more attention!

Hey everyone! I’d like to share an incredible lucid dreaming experience I had back in Germany. When I was 18, I had this night where I suddenly realized I was dreaming. It all started pretty standard until I tried to turn on the light and, instead of getting brighter, the darkness deepened. That was the moment everything changed: I knew I was dreaming and could take control. What was really special was that I could consciously choose to wake up from the dream - a definite sign of my control over the dream state. I tested my reality several times by flipping the light switch, which in the dream, always resulted in deeper darkness. This showed me how vividly real our perception can be in dreams and why we shouldn’t be quick to dismiss things just because we haven’t personally experienced them.

I learned to leave here as a child to escape the abuse of my mother. I can find things by seeing from the view of the target item. Ive found impossible items across a know time frame over multiple locations and been able to go to the target and observe its environment. I was coincidentally chosen for special testing in 3rd grade. They tried to get my mom to let them take me to a special program. The testing is covered across these released documents. I was able to avoid being sent.

I’m back here again because I just want to say that the current best treatment for people with narcolepsy is GHB. We have to be in a special FDA program. But it’s so we can get deep sleep. It also takes away our ability to remember our special dreams. Does this have a connection? I’m not talking about some sort of weird conspiracy where the government is drugging all narcoleptics. I’m just wondering if the CIA research, along with the amnesiac drug, has a correlation?

21:43 it’s funny that he mentioned about being inspired in the shower because a lot of the times when I’m in the shower that’s when lyrics tend to come to me. And some years ago I had found an in shower notepad with pencil now it wasn’t she and I didn’t get to use it, as much as I would’ve liked, because my parents kept stealing the pencil. And I don’t know why because there’s obviously a reason why it’s in the shower😅 but the annoying thing is whenever I would ask everybody who took it, they would all deny it (which is the case for everything I own that’s gone missing) until one day I found out it was my mom. It never felt safe to put the pencil back in there, because I know she’ll just forget and take it again lol. So I haven’t been able to use it since, because as soon as I leave the shower, I’d forget what I was trying so hard to remember.

Mendeleev story is likely not true. He often told stories meaning sarcastic joke but people would have hard time picking it up as he did it with straight face. Story about dream comes from his “friend” who probably didn’t understand his sarcasm. Also based on notes he did correct that table during 2 years and way more than once. Although there are plenty of other examples where famous scientists had similar experiences and didn’t not deny it when asked.
