It really does! Thank you for watching.
April; I am so completely impressed with what you have done here. My second gig was that of a swimming pool designer and builder for many years. Lighting was a key element for the enjoyment of the entire pool and backyard environment for my clients. I learned so much from you. We are almost neighbors (I’m in Brenham) and I would love to visit your shop and this deck….we are planning our own and this series will be a key resource for us!
April did an excellent job installing her lighting system and provided great information. I've been working with Kichler landscape lighting, outdoor lighting, and ceiling fans for nearly a decade and love it. It simply outlast the competition and is far superior to anything found at the big box stores or on Amazon. If anyone is looking to purchase Kichler and wants to purchase from a knowledgeable distributor, I recommend the Wolf Creek Company.

She did not provide information on cost? It’s rather misleading if you ask me.
Beautiful build. Love the final results. My old eyes would say the walkway is a trip hazard as there doesn't appear to be enough light, but that could just be the camera. I hope you get to host many many evenings of outdoor enjoyment
Thank you, April. You always, with every video, show us just how much you love what you do. God bless.
The Lighting really sets off this outdoor kitchen and gathering space. This will be a beautiful, relaxing, and fun space for you, your family, and friends for many years to come April! Great Project and Awesome Lights!!!
With the lighting, it literally looks like it could be in a magazine (like Better Homes & Garden). Absolutely amazing April!

I would have used solar lights on the footpath so no wires are needed but this looks awesome April.

Solar lights don't work well with trees surrounding them. In this case it looks like using low voltage lights was the right choice
Beautiful lighting design! Gentle suggestion: for personal safety reasons, I would light the walkway up a bunch more. Concerned about someone accidentally falling off the walkway in the night, twisting their ankle, breaking their arm, etc.
looks stunning April! creates a nice chilled vibe. some serious forward planning to get it looking that slick!
Outstanding space April!!! I am seriously jealous !!!

Incredible! The lighting at night makes it look like one of those outdoor dining things you see on like instagram of people on vacay in a high end resort in bali or bora bora and fire breathing dancers etc. In the background performing during a dinner show!

@@AprilWilkerson LOVE IT!!
looks like you lit the area next to the walkway but not the walkway itself. one option i'd like to try is taxiway lighting: a couple of blue lights along the edges and green lights along the centerline.
All sorts of planter boxes, big, small, hung, narrow, tall, recessed, floating, planters everywhere
0:42 "In case of emergency, the rafters will illuminate a path to a safe exit."
What about adding movable wind breaks for more comfort on windy days? Or if you really want to go over the top add openable glass walls all around and suddenly you'd have an outdoor living room with kitchen that would retain heat even when it was cold outside.
The Mosquitoes (it super time)! nice job just pointing this out.
April, do you plan on putting lattice or anything around the bottom of the deck to keep the critters out? It would be cool to see how to cut the pieces whether it be in CAD or something simple like cardboard. Also your thoughts to make an access panel to get to the electronics.
April nice lighting job. A couple suggestions. For the hard scape lighting, under the bar, you could have used four fixtures to give the visual impression of light flow originating from the hanging fixtures, through the bar, and washing the stonework. Next you maybe considering for next week's path build. So I maybe jumping the gun. With a winding deck pathway to potential of slip and fall accidents make for a very real safety hazard. It may have been the Iris on the camera or the lack of ambient light. But you could add lights in the trees. Aimed at the pathway. Each fixture would have motion detectors. Then as a person enters the beam it would switch on the light for that stretch of decking. But be sure the light spills over the edge of the decking. That's where most trip/slip and falls occur. ~Jim
Nice Lights April!! need to know the model of chain light hung over the counter??
Nice it looks very relax and warm place. If it was in my country I would be very paranoid of mosquito and reptile haaa. :)
Curious what your wood prices are like down there... Trying to build a shed and the cost has easily doubled so I am at a stand still until things even out somewhat.
Seeing the bar, I wonder when you are going to build the bar stools.

When I hit the lotto I’m hiring you!
I plan to build over the next 1-2 years. Any chance that I can hire you to come up to Tennessee to be my contractor! 😁
April, amazing work as always. Question about the controllers. Did you have to use three separate transformers for the three zones you described? I’m currently designing our patio and would like to break out 2-3 zones that are also controllable by switch. Wondering if you were able to run multiple switches on the same transformer or if you had individual transformers? Thanks in advance.
1:23 the dog makes a run for it.
did a fantastic job heck the only thing your missing now is a waterfall lol
Simply beautiful April. Are you lighting the route to the treehouse deck? I'm the sort who'd take my burger and soft drink off to a quiet space and the deck would suit me fine. BTW will Galadriel be making an appearance at the grand opening party?
Quite the captivating space you have created there, When's the pool going in? :D

Good question!
I’ve been watching this series and I have a couple questions. With all of that lighting, won’t that attract bugs in the summer? Your log boxes, under the floor and walk path, aren’t you concerned with rattlesnakes up under there? I live in Tulsa and even in the out skirts of town we have rattlesnakes and some scorpions. Just curious. It looks fantastic!!!!
Wow that space is really coming together, are you adding a hot tub or pool?
For lighting is tooo good realy to good for who dont no about planing on lighting your property But i think you should upload this video in last with party and showing how you utilize all the applications you install
Ok... Nice outdoor entertaining space. What about bug control?
Awesome! Would 2 Ceiling Fans create a better breeze, as opposed to 1? The 2 Ceiling Fans would rotate in opposite directions, like a twin-engine airplane. LMAO. Using a Timer made me think of Home Alone. The kid knew when every house's Lights came on because of Timers. They sell Vacation Timers, which are random, but are used indoors.

I think you need couple of Flood lights towards trees/jungle which will not just look good but also for safety purpose.
This is beautiful but seems a little much but the little details could make or break something so A+ for effort
