thanks for the info the troybilt pony has been cutting the grass so low while on the highest position I was about to get rid if it!Hopefully this will raise the cutting so the grass doesnt look like its been shaved

My 42" Troy Bilt Mustang manual says ALWAYS level side to side before front/rear. And a reminder: Check tire pressure before any leveling.

Very important tip .......check your tire pressure A low tire that just needs air might be your issue

Ok so what do you do when tire pressures are correct and the adjustment screw is on the highest setting and the blade on that side is still .7 inches lower than the other side?

I have a troy-belt bronco 2011. Try raising the deck ,but still to low. Any other advice?

Alot easier than i thought it would be.

on mine, I found that part of the mechanism for raising and lowering the deck is a flange with an arced cutout in it where the top end of the rod that attaches to the deck is attached. In that arced cutout is a bolt below where the rod ends at a right angle and the jutting part goes through the arced hole. By moving that bolt up the slot to a higher position, I seem to get another inch of height. the bolt has a 3/4 hex on the inside of the cutout.

Can you all show us how to do an alignment? I bought my Troy Bilt 46XP Super Bronco the other day and the front right wheel rotates differently than the one on the left.

I got mine serviced. I got it back the shoot side is to low. I have a bagger attached to the shoot. I tried adjusting it and it still won't work the shoot side is still to low. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Do you have advice? Thank you.

Been having my troy Bilt since 2011 still working just started having issues with deck level I paid 1400 brand new they are much higher now

The hex bolt keeps loosening and the deck drops down why? It’s tightened over and over ??

My adjustment knob on the left side hanger doesn't turn either way. Even after loosening the 1/2 in hex bolt. What are we supposed to turn the knob with? Pliers will not tighten or loosen the adjustment knob

What is the point of those 2 small wheels in front of the deck? Are they supposed to be touching the ground or be in the air, doing nothing?

They float in the air mostly… they keep the blades from scalping uneven ground like a mound or hill… as you hit that the wheels will lift up the deck and not allow it to dig in

Leveling was no brainer, but my question is: is there a way to raise the deck? The highest setting is way too low and anything lower than that will mow dirt. I don't want to have to replace the blades every month.

+Troy-Bilt Like I said, the highest position of the deck is too low. I actually drilled a new hole on both sides of the frame and was able to raise it and additional inch. Not much adjusting after that.

+Troy-Bilt How can you raise the deck past the highest setting. At 5 it is scalping the lawn at a height of only 3"

The way I did it was to drill new holes on the sides of the deck. I was only able to raise it about an inch or so. You'll have to remove the deck to do it. This is where the back of the deck attaches to the body. Than relevel it. Let me know how it goes for you.

Same problem, mowing down to the dirt! I never had this issue on my ancient John Deere, and the John Deere was much easier to adjust. Very POOR design! I'm tired of mowing into the dirt, my yard is anything BUT flat! Maybe it's time to invest in a newer John Deere, although this one is 10+ years and still going!
