Great video bruh. The smell test is EVERYTHING. I recently got a pair of sneakers and the second I opened the box they had this really really intense chemical glue like smell so I totally get what you're saying!

So glad I came across this video. I've been watching your channel a bunch since I came across it a couple weeks ago. I've been trying to find a video this in depth on legit checking considering I've only really got into sneakers recently and wanna make sure I don't get scammed. Keep up the amazing work man!

Yea it helps with Nike, and adidas as well. The black light isn’t always 100% accurate either as people are getting clever with finding ways to erase the stamps or cover them up. It’s just another tool to use just in case

The UV light isn’t a 100% way to legit check. Since I’ve made this video I’ve been meaning to do an update. Half of the pairs we check now don’t show anything under the UV light but I would suggest using a legit check app to verify further. But yea they might be good tho! Just don’t want it to seem like the UV like is the only way to check nowadays

Most good fakes are really good at copying the tags The only difference might by a slight difference in boldness but it would be pretty impossible to tell unless you had both pairs side by side in my opinion

Smell is my first check too, if the shoes have been sitting for months or they've been used it's sometimes more difficult too. I'm the same as you though, a fresh jordan cop from snkrs always smells like heaven to me.

Did you notice the other stamp on the bottom of the sole at the heel of the shoe as you was panning the camera during the black light test ? Go to 3:18 of the video

I got the Jordan 1 low mocha and they have the same bag as the fake ones as well as the shoe trees, I got them off stockx so I’m not sure. I’m getting my black light tomorrow so I guess I’m getting my results tomorrow.

I guarantee so many resell shops already have a bunch of fakes in and out of there. Its only gonna get worse unless nike does more to notice the difference. Its just crazy with some of the real limited shoes(fragment 1s and oregons) every big sneakerhead has a pair.

I know this video is old but I have just found out that the pairs Mexico gets either from SNKRS page or nike stores, they have a strong glue smell which at first threw me off since I started to doubt but they turned out to be legit pairs and the siza tag on the boxes are different than the once in USA so the smell might not be always the best way as MEX pairs do smell like glue.

It’s because US shoes sit in a warehouse for longer and gives the glue time to dry. Let a pair of replicas sit out for a bit to dry and they will smell like brand new shoes.

I rock the same size. Sizes 14 and up aren’t fakes. Our sizes are so rare among the population that it isn’t profitable to makes fakes. That’s also the reason why our shoes typically cost more on the resell market.

12:47 the air bubble is way off, it should be way smoother and higher quality.

Its like a footlocker type of smell. If youve ever been in a footlocker and about to crack open a new pair of shoes it smells like that.

Great video! Got nior 4s from stockx. Been hearing a lot of complaints about stockx so decided to look at some legit check videos. Everything checks out…even the sticker inside w the lines. However, there is a glue smell! Do legit shoes ever have that glue smell, bec everything else looks good.

I’m surprised people don’t weigh shoes to catch fakes. Someone should upload a full list of every shoe and it’s weight.

You should try to send good fakes in a real box to stock x and see if they pass. Of course buy them yourself on a different account so no one gets scammed. But I always see videos where they send fake shoes in a fake box but never seen a video with fake shoes in real box or even real shoes and fake box. Would make an interesting video. I enjoyed this one

fake supreme box logo got through a youtuber sent in a fake and it passed. Jordan 1s are always super easy to tell unless its a real box cause the label is imprinted and embossed where as fakes are just printed, and insole stitiching is super spread out (how check check legit check) a SK batch (new batch of fakes that dont come in a box as its so good they dont want people selling it as retail) in a retail box would 100 percent pass. Its scary out here.

So may be a really dumb question I'm not a sneaker head but if the difference is a slight different colored tag and a few uneven stitches and some glue smell isn't the better deal just to buy the knockoffs for 50$?

Yea high end knocks off are usually the better deal but for the ones that actually closely resembles the shoe you want to buy you’ll at least be paying $100-200 But sneakersheads care about having authentic products just like any true collector of any item

I noticed the Hyper Royals and the Shadow 2.0 AJ1s had a weird smell, I hit on SNKRS with both so they were straight from Nike but the hyper royals more so had a crazy chemical smell, is that a issue with legit check or resale????

I've been able to legit check sneakers I buy off eBay strictly off pictures. Every time they were Authentic.

Its leather and glue. Thats what the smell is. I think 👍

It will help with most fakes Now I’ve seen fakes that do a good job with having like no smell, granted it doesn’t smell like a brand new pair but it also doesn’t smell like glue. But boy did I find a stamp on that pair haha

Just like Check Check can authenticate with pictures so can I if I know what I'm doing which I do. lol

I just wanted to point out a real difference I caught yet I didn’t see it acknowledged by anyone. The label, on the box. The authentic was noticeably sharper and bolder than the fake label. At 9:10 if you skip back and forth between them you can see why. The softer edges on the fake is a normal effect from an ink printer. And the authentic label isn’t printed at all. It’s stamped.

Technically yes but if you’re purchasing through Goat, they are pretty reliable in authenticating the shoes you purchase. You shouldn’t have a problem when buying from them

Its crazy cuz the first pair of jordans i bought was the fire red 4s in '89, so had to get the retros that recently released.

i got it right at first glance, i have a future in this, it is so obvious to me

what do uu do when the box doesn't have the like code stamp or whatever and it still asks for a picture
