"Want to learn" is one of the pillars of learning a language from my point of view, I really liked what you said and I believe that practice is more than essential to get where you want and not being afraid of making mistakes also helps a lot.

Totally agree with all of this!!!! Oftentimes we just want to get to that end point of being fluent, but we can’t really get there if our desire to learn isn’t large enough to carry us through! With large enough motivation, our mistakes aren’t failures but instead change into learning opportunities!

I just found your channel and I have been binging several videos, I am very impressed by the number of relevant in-depth analogies and anecdotes used throughout your videos. Running, riding a bike, growing plants, singing, hatred of avocados. Your videos are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.

I was expecting you to just say spaced repetition but you actually touched up on ideas that not a lot of language learners talk about. Thanks for sharing!

thanks for the comment!!! obviously there are some core tenants of modern language learning that should be present in every routine (just based on the science of learning in general). but the specifics and nuances definitely can be modified based on the learning mediums, learning goals, and individual. hopefully we as a community can also uncover new ideas or methods to make everything easier and more enjoyable!
