The reason I want to learn French by myself is flexibility and timing. I want to take online class, but my busy life doesn't permit me so I choose to learn on my own term.

All your advice is so true. The biggest thing I have found is to NOT sign up to lots of website/youtube learning platforms. Choose one, like Dylane (of course) and stick with just that one ONLY. It is very overwhelming receiving heaps of emails alerting you of new videos etc.

I sign up for multiple because I can’t learn a language solely from one source. So I use Duolingo, books, iTalki, music, tv shows/movies, podcasts, and KZread vlogs/grammar videos. I learn the fastest when I diversify. I use a textbook for structure on what I should learn next and then make my study plans.
So sorry for the late upload 😅 Something things just aren't working. All the links I talk about in the video are in the description post. Have fun learning 🤩
I learned a lot by your french grammar playlist. It was very difficult to find french grammar resources in a structured way. My french grammar improved a LOT by the end of the course. Thank you very much.

Bonjour Dylane! In my humble opinion, you can improve your English pronunciation significantly by learning the dark L. In English, the letter L at the end of a word is pronounced very differently from the letter L at the beginning of a word. That’s called the difference between dark L and light L. To pronounce the dark L, one raises the back of the tongue, as if pronouncing ‘ou’. There are some tutorials on youtube about how to pronounce the dark L.😊😊😊

Salut Dylane, wonderful advice as always. At 2:53 when you say you have a "photographic memory" I'm wondering if you really mean that you are a visual learner. That is, writing things down, making little drawings and charts helps to cement things in your memory. A "photographic memory" means you can look at the text of a book once, take a perfect snap-shot in your mind, and then be able to recall everything perfectly word for word and images too. It would be rare and amazing if you do have such a memory, but then again you are a pretty amazing person.👍

Took me a long time to figure out how I like to learn and what kind of content I like. Hint: just doubling down on Duolingo isn't enough. Schedule a video lesson with a teacher/tutor to give you an idea of what it takes to learn how to talk and understand what people say, that'll orient your studying

I have of free courses to learn French from A to Z, and I talk about them in this video. But with your attitude, you can go to another channel. I won't miss you.
Most French teachers on KZread don't have an accent, well it's not à French accent...It's a little British sounding, which i absolutely hate, and the rest of their "accent" is just soulless and robotic. YOU are one of the very few French teachers who HAVE an actual French accent-- and it sounds AWESOME! NEVER EVER lose your accent!!! It's enchanting and beautiful, and your Lucky you have it. If you cane to the USA, you would be like a "rock star." I promise you that. People would be spellbound by you ( unless you were a bitch, then they'd resent you), but if were nice, and you are, anything you wanted, all the guys would make fools of themselfs trying to give you it, and the women would find you facinating as well, they might be jealous too, but you would still facinate them. People LOVE an actual French accent here. Thèse other French teachers,if they came here, no-one would even notice them, unless they actually spoke French. You speak English very well, and the accent makes your English better. It gives you character. You have a great voice. Dont change a damned thing about it.
I love it Merci beaucoup ll a your student from India 🇮🇳 :-) . how do you manage this type of topic to clear and making video, pdf, books, website you doing yourself 😅 or u have ( team ). Any way ❤ I appreciate your hard work ☺️ I thank your such a lovely content
