The Lazy Vault is going to be one of the first vaults we learn in parkour. It's an efficient simple vault that will be used a lot in our parkour training.
In this video we go step by step on the technique of the lazy vault. The hand and foot placement is key to perform this parkour vault successfully. It's also important that we focus on the positioning of the feet and hips as we perform the vault.
After the technique, I show you a simple progression step that you can use to gradually and safely develop your lazy vault.
Then we go over 3 key parkour training exercises you can use to develop the core strength and flexibility to master this vault.
As always train safe and see you in the next video!

Dear Tapps !! I just turned 80 and have lived in Costa Rica for the past 20 years. I walk by one of our tennis club's courts which has an elevated walkway running parallel to the court. I has a rail about 3 feet high at one end and 3 and a half at the other end. I have been watching many videos about how to vault over this rail and land on a wide grass border below the walkway which is about 3 feel below the walkway. I know the vault will be a piece of cake and although I am in good basic shape and run around our old airfield (the one JFK landed at back in 1963) 3 days a week, your video IS BY FAR THE BEST ONE TO EXPLAIN IN DETAIL just how to boost my confidence to easily make the vault. I vaulted the rail once before I saw your video. It did not inspire me to try a second time. I'm EXCITED to use your instructions tomorrow morning at 0530 on my way to the airfield. Again....MANY THANKS !!!

Thank you very much dear Tapps, your help is unvaluable. This walk through is a very tough movement for me yet, I have to use my parallettes for doing it well but with my hands in the floor, I can go forward already but not backwards yet. In any case, thanks a bunch dear masters. :)

Daniel Cajiga, If this is difficult for you then you should prob not start with parkour I learned almost 3/4 of the tricks without tutorials, thos of tappbrothers are always over 10mins and complicated Just watch experienced parkour and try them out, safely But hey, it was 2 years ago that you wrote this comment, any progression?

+Prankjobs thanks for your advice my friend, I´ve walked step by step the road, but yes, i´ve had some progressive advance. It´s no that easy for me any more since I¨m a 50 years old guy and was very lazy prior to know about parkour. Today I´m able to do things that I´ve never thought I could do and I´m going to to further without any doubt. I believe the videos from the Tapps are very good for beginners since they explain everything thoroughly. Thanks again and have amazing holidays. Best regards and a warm hug.

Hi Tappers loved your videos....i have developed a fear of jumping from heights doing a kong vault, whenever i run towards the bar i always fail by stopping with my hands on the bar.......always thinking of falling and getting hurt sometimes..... I am from India, and i am 15 years old, and i can do pretty much parkour by seeing all your videos, like the kong vault , the dash vault, lazy vault+ dash vault thanks to you guys. All i want is to overcome my fear from height.....
