How does this address “keying in” the thin-set into the floor and back of tile? That coverage wasn’t very good on such a big tile. Maybe 60% coverage? Worse is that whole left side was a void.

Hello Roy I saw your system video about a year ago and was impressed. I want to tile a 20 x 20 ft garage and was hoping this system will allow me to do a good job quickly. In the garage I will be tiling wall to wall ( left to right across the width) how do I position the initial and subsequent strips I suspect that after laying the first column I only need 1 strip for subsequent rows the existing row provides the reference fir that side

I would use a helper and butter my tiles before placement.

I am assuming glue height = thinset height

Hi Clem I’m in Australia and we refer thinset as glue. If you want to backbutter you can but it defeats the system. The system relies on the exact amount of thinset being deposited to achieve a perfect finish. By backbuttering you change the amount of thinset being used for each tile

Everyone can see that you have never laid tiles getting paid by the m²... And format tiles bigger than 300x300 should be buttered at the back .....
