I second that!! I just bought a kayak and im 270lb my Biggest concern is stability!!
This is definitely where I see most people fall in. It’s the launching and exiting of the boat literally sometimes. It’s so funny to watch people try to do it from the dock as well I always tell them that’s not how you want to get in your kayak. Do you want to do this at the boat ramp or the shoreline
Something so simple, so great... Chad, at 63 yrs old anything that make it easy to get in and out.... Thanks....

I have seen a bunch of new kayak anglers do just what you told them not to do. GOOD INFORMATION.

Great info, even for a little itty-bitty guy. At 83 yrs old it'll do me well. You the man! 👍🏽🇺🇸

Thanks Kenneth. Glad I could help
I am extremely lucky to live in a place where the state installs actual kayak launches and docks so the only time I have to mess around with launching is when I pull up on remote beaches and such. So glad I found this video for those few times though!

I’m an amputee missing my left leg and thinking about purchasing a kayak. Your videos really help me. Thank you

You answered a huge question for this old man who isn't as svelte as he used to be. My mobility and balance slowly fades away as I get older, yet I am looking at kayaks to get me off the bank. I'm 67 and will retire in the near future and just want to spend my retirement years fishing. Thanks for this video. It makes complete sense and it wasn't intuitive, at least, not to me. But then, I'm not known to be a master of the obvious.
Thank you for this video. I took my kayak out for the second time yesterday and this technique worked so much better than anything else I tried.

Thanks Chad! This was just the type video I was searching for tonight considering I just got my first fishing kayak (2021 Ascend 128X) and taking it on its maiden voyage this coming weekend. Thanks again. Keep up the tip videos, many of us can use them. I see lots of noobs end up in the water for things that can be avoided.
Thx for sharing this!
Thank you!
That makes good sense! And I never would've thought of it. Thank you sir

Chad,I thank you so much.I am new to kayaking and this is by far the easiest way for my overwieght butt to lauch and land my kayak. You are the man!
Thank you for the tips
Good advice. I also run few strips of duct tape down length. Keeps my hull protected and is cheap.
Thank you. Great video.
All these years I have been struggling to get on and out of a kayak just like you said. I will definitely do it your way next time. Thanks for you short video lessons.

I’m glad to see that I launch and land the proper way. I used to make the mistake of launching bow in first and landing bow first. Those concrete ramps are like cheese graters on a keel. Fortunately I learned after my first time. I learned a lot from KZread. Great video, thanks for the demo. Have fun out there and be safe.
Thanks for the video, it's a big help!
Thanks for the info brother.
As a newcomer to kayak fishing,Chad, you are a wealth of knowlege
Great video!!
Good info thx
That's amazing thank you
You’re right Chad, it sounds so simple but far too often we want to do the keel coming in first. Awesome tip, thanks brother
Thank you so much sir great helps!

Great tip on entering and exiting the kayak Chad! Fortunately I was taught that quite a few years ago by someone I still fish with on a regular basis. It works and works well and saves wear and tear or at least some wear and tear on keel of my kayak!

Glad I saw this as I want to buy a kayak. Just need to learn the basics
Great tip! Like you said "it sounds simple" and should be. Makes a lot of sense to me and definitely will save the kayak. The hard part will be breaking old habits of doing it the other way.

Thank you for making this video. We have a lot of concrete boat ramps. . . .
Thanks Chad! I was worried about the “in and out” as I am 55 yrs old and a big guy. I think a kayak would be great for the type of fishing I want to do. I’m gonna subscribe and get more tips. Thanks again
New to kayak fishing, I have to thank you for this video.

Good info, Chad! This is pretty much akin to the proper canoe enter/exit methods except you have funnels you can brace the paddle across too. Broadside is definitely best!
