There are a couple different ways to latter lace. It is very traditional in military boots. And different ways of lacing help either stable boots or help tighten them more. And different lacing is easier to cut in medical emergencies (military). I have tried explaining this before to people. I generally explore my lacing to see what is quicker and more comfortable. Great video. Love this kind of material. Stay safe.

This is how skinheads lace their boots as Doctor Martens were made to be laced in this manner. However a different technique is used as the way shown in this video will not properly bring both sides of the boot together.

In America, blacks use toothbrush and cheap white toothpaste and magic erasers. They keep they most crisp white shoes bar none and that's what they told me they to.

I don't know why I came here but these kinda videos usually come in handy at some point in my life.

I always use a form of ladder lacing as it allows the laces to be cut for emergency removal.

With ladder or bar lacing does the number of eyelets ( odd vs. even ) determine if you have to lace them differently ?

My uncle used to bar lace his GPs, he was a chef in the army and he told me they did it so they could quickly slash the laces open and get the boots off. I guess you run the risk of getting boiling water or hot oil into your boots in that environment... Especially out in the field. Bugger that for a joke! I always thought they looked awesome so thanks for sharing ❤ Also it is ANZAC day today, a day us Aussies remember those who have served our country. Many of the conflicts we have been involved in we have fought along side our British brothers and sisters. So for your sake Dan, I'm going to think of the BEF, the RAF and the RN while I pay my respects to our diggers. Least we forget 🇦🇺🙏

I had to try the diamond lace on my shoes. I think it looks more like a basket weave, but i have brain damage, so what do i know?

That crisscross pattern may look good but it must be difficult to get the laces tight so i suspect it's not very practical. A great video though
