It's the weekend guys, what’s for lunch? Here’s a quick and easy recipe idea - Kung Pao Chicken! One of my favourite soul foods. It’s got so many flavors going on, it’s tangy, sweet, and salty with a hint of heat! And a great dish to practice your CHOPSTICKS 🥢 SKILLZZZ 😂.

**Edit: Hi guys, as some of you noticed. Yes I forgot the garlic in this video, and also I forgot to edit in the sauce mix that I added in the end. Thousand apologies for that 🙏🙏.
So the garlic goes in after the ginger, before the shallots.
The sauce mix was a combination of,
- 1tbsp x Oyster Sc
- 1tbsp x Soy Sc
- 1/2 tbsp x Black Vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp x Dark Caramel Sc
- 1tsp - Sesame Oil
- 1tsp - Sugar
Combine everything into a bowl, mix well.

As a Malaysian residing in the US, I was surprised to see a Kung Pao Chicken being mentioned and even prepared by a Malaysian chef, as Kung Pao chicken is usually found in those Chinese restaurants here in US. When I was back in KL, I don't remember even seeing Kung Pao chicken on the menu in the restaurants in Malaysia. Now I'm curious to see Chef making General Tso's chicken - which by the way, is almost an American dish here. LOL!

We still do have Kung Pao chicken here in the Chinese restaurants in Malaysia, General Tso’s chicken however is unheard of!! Hahahha

What is the purpose of using white pepper instead of black pepper? Is the taste different?

Yes the taste of white pepper and black pepper are very different, you use the different peppers for different recipes to get different outcomes :)
