There is a difference between the shoulders (front of the arms) and the Torso, the shoulder blades. This is where it gets confusing when you try to observe rotation during the swing.
In this video I discuss the best way to observe the proper rotation of the golf swing.
About the Single Plane Golf Swing
The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing - impact.
Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back.
This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary.
The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.

This is exactly what I’m working on…shout out to the golf on demand coaches…coach Richard was explaining how I need to rotate my pelvis first, then the torso (rotation drill with no club)…Todd your program is “Freak’n” awesome!! Thanks again for all you do and your hard work along with the Grave Golf Academy team.

It seems like the left side of the torso (lat) staying stretched longer is an important or even essential aspect of the shoulders staying closed. I need to work on this, thanks!

Todd Is the motion of the downswing like a baseball swing? I want to swing straight at the ball with an upward motion so I won't hook the ball. I would appreciate it if you would show a slow-motion swing of the club path so I can understand the correct path of the club. Hope you understand my question. Thank you for your great instruction.

Is pressure being applied to the shaft (with right hand/shoulder) at impact or has the release already begun (where the clubhead is starting to overtake the butt of the club)? I guess my question is more about compression...is it created by force on the shaft or is it created more by the release? Makes sense to keep pressure on the shaft but not sure if that would cause too many blocks to the right.

Hi Todd, does the trail arm stay bent until the torso has completed its forward rotation then unfolds?

That poor left hander behind him definitely needs to be eavesdropping on Todd's lesson.

I get the feeling that the left hander you reference actually does not have a left arm. If so then his swing looks pretty good.....Of course I could be wrong, just seems that way.
