Even though one of my budgies is sick right now (seen vet, will take months to go back to full health and a change of diet but overall it's not as bad as it could be), and they are not tamed (working on that! They don't eat from hand but they will eat if I put down the treat and stand next to it, progress!) , they seem happy based on that :) that's really good to know.

Mine have been at my home, in my room, for four years now and still scaredy. It takes a loooot of patience. One bad experience (that doesn't even have to be at your home or something you'd even notice!) and suddenly they're all scared. Mine are not tame, but they're way too smart (in a good way!) and all I can do is give them signals I'm coming near them and do my thing in their cage. I think a lot has improved after I've started clicking my tongue every time I come near their cage to do something in their cage. They know what to expect and can leave or go in the back of the cage before I'm even near. They know if I'm coming near them to do something with their cage or just walking around doing human stuff.

@@magdam1508Omg it’s not just me, you don’t know how reassuring it is that another person is going through the same thing, I’ve had mine for 3 bordering on 4 years now and we understand each other and they have their way of communicating what they need but are still so scared. Personally I use hand gestures to tell them I’m going to do something with their cage.

@@lbryant6234 It's really nice to see I'm not alone in that :D those little gestures and sounds help so much. We just live in the same space, tolerate each others. And while it isn't something I hoped for when I got them, it's not the worst :) I'm glad to have them in that way at least. They're great at forcing me to get up with all that screaming to let them out of the cage after night

Yes my budgies are very happy with me yes because I talked to them one day they started tripping a lot

One day I talked with my birds they seemed enjoying me because they were chirping so much and I was enjoying my time with my budgies and they were very cute Lula's eyes shined no she was so pretty and they didn't get used to Mommy and Daddy yet though they love me so much when they started getting used to me they started to love me and they started not running away from me or flying they didn't move on their stick from me they just tripped to me and had fun one day daddy turned on the fan and my birds were her enjoying the fan they said oh what the fresh air I love it it looks like the fresh air outside though we are inside I don't know where the air is coming from I think they said that and that was a beautiful sign I need to give them more calcium and a balance diet so that the one of them can lay eggs the blue one and the white one lays eggs or I will tell you the white one and the blue will lay eggs and I am enjoying my time with my birds luckily they are having fun with me I think and I enjoyed your video too thank you very much

One day I put my budgies in Tweety's cage when Daddy was applying the nesting box for Lula my mommy bird she's so beautiful though I don't have any toys for them because we are in Syria someday I will search for some toys or maybe go to Granny's house she has three branches we can take off the leaves and they will become a bird toy and is that good enough or I can ask my aunt and for a toy with balls they have gaps they're found on Amazon I see them they're Bird toys and they're very nice I like them

You can make a lot of toys at home! For example on youtube there are many tutorials for paper toys. Basically anything you can hide food in and won't hurt the bird can be a toy. I've seen a toy made of two bottle caps put on one another with some seeds inside, and the bird loved it. Birds also love branches and fresh greens. Mine fell in love with beetroot leaves. Toys for budgies I've seen most often are for activities like climbing, foraging (looking for food in harder spots, like a plate filled with leaves and seeds and veggies, my zebra finches always preferred their food just thrown around on a tissue), swinging, shredding (they love biting bark off branches for example). It can take them a long time to get used to a toy, mine started playing with one after around two weeks, and now I've given them a different one and they instantly started eating. Something my budgies love too is bird cookies. A mixture of eggs, some budgie safe vegetables and seeds, baked in an oven. They find it very fun :)

I have one question My budgie is 1.5 year old but his feathers growing very slow two weeks just small green feather appear and his tail is just had 2 stick ..... He is eating good and chirp and healthy but only issue is feather growth he start eating seeds ...what i should do ???? I gave liquid calcium in his water ....any suggestions

I have a four year old budgie that has started loosing feathers with no other symptoms, happy as always. Too little vitamin A. I was told to give them supplements for moulting and bring their droppings to check for parasites (though that's just a standard for a check up). Also making sure they've got Iodine. and more foraging toys, branches and stuff like that, and more veggies and sprouts. The vet also recommended to add pellets to the diet. And to spray or give them a bath with chamomile. If your bird's state worries you, it's good to visit the vet.

Dear sir i am trying to pair my grey young male almost 4 months old and a new lutino female she seems to be over 1 year of age... But they r not showing love to each other yet ...will they become pair in future when the male gets adult ? Hope u reply....

Mine started loosing his feathers with no other symptoms, vet said it's vitamin A deficiency. I was also told to give them more foraging stuff (when birds are bored, they pull out feathers, since they don't have anything else to do than preen). From what I gathered deficiencies like this and too little foraging are the most common causes. Veggies or herbs in daily diet (doesn't have to be some store bought expensive stuff, just go into an area far from a road and get some budgie safe plants), some form of calcium that's given with food or water, Iodine, and a seed mix that doesn't have much fat. Mine is also supposed to get vitamins for moulting It's good to visit a vet if your bird has bald places.
