Does making vows in a church without parent's knowledge, consent or blessing acceptable to God as marriage? Does marriage without Government signing papers consudered as marriage in God's eyes? I’m 49 and have never been married. I’ve gained sooo much knowledge about dating and marriage within the last five years than in my early 20s. I now know it would’ve been disastrous to enter into a marriage prior to now.

So, good! Jennifer point on a man who submits to authority. I didn't think this was that important in my past relationships. It's not worth the frustration and isolation! Nothing worse than a man who can't listen to anyone!

I always knew I never wanted children, so marriage was never a priority. I’m single and have a few platonic relationships but I haven’t had the desire to have someone in my life 24/7. Kudos to all who have found God’s chosen partner if marriage is you heart’s desire.

Many single women are “chasing careers” because we have to support ourselves while we wait for our spouse . And, in this economy, that’s a lot 😅

Yes and education is important for women, I think there is nothing wrong with a woman having a career if the couple themselves can work out the logistics and have an intentional plan.

Which is what one of the main objectives of the feminist movement was. Women have chosen independence over being a helpmeet to a husband. Like it or not a choice was made. Biblically women are not supposed to support themselves. That is the job of the husband.

@@jamooree I’m not in support of the feminist movement. However, unmarried women do not yet have the support of a spouse and must work to provide for themselves.

This is so wise! I love how Jennifer said one of the things she was looking for was a man who submits to authority. It’s so important to have accountability and even goes to church. Hearing that made me realize that people who do not congregate themselves is because they may have a submission issue.

Very true, I've had a problem with the way some people translated the Bible for their own personal gain, I realised the reason I was annoyed at that verse was because the people I saw misquoting it were untrustworthy and had self serving traits, it's not God's word that's wrong. A couple of days it came to me, does he submit to God, his word too and listen to advice and guidance of godly people?

Gotta say, it's really reassuring hearing you say you were 40. I just turned 40 a few months ago and am still searching for whomever she is, and it kinda sucks and is frustrating at times, lol. You have moments where you have fight the urge to want to just settle on those lingering nights. Me anyway. Can't speak for anybody else. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Have no sinful habit in your life. Become the man God wants you to be, before you meet someone. Work with God to break all strongholds, if there are any. Otherwise youll be bring them into a relationship, and they will cause marital problems.

Please let this series be ongoing and please GO DEEP ! Lol People need to understand marriage is very serious. It’s not some fun idea people partake in. It’s so important that we let God ordain our purpose partners and the prayers can’t stop after marriage they have to increase exponentially. The enemy hates marriage so he will do everything to destroy it ! I love this series and I’ve learnt so much from the both of you. God bless you both

The important thing is that if a wife stays at home to support the family base, it is of the upmost importance that the husband makes her feel valued in that role. Yes especially when children are young it is difficult to maintain a balance between career and home life. As the children get older and more independent the mother will have the opportunity to pursue other interests, hobby’s but of course the first priority is the Lord and the home. Even the woman of Proverbs 31 had her own “business” so to speak. I just know some women who have dedicated so much to build up their families and husbands and when they are older they feel a lack of validation. I know we must look to the Lord for our ultimate validation, but just know appreciation is key for a wife to keep the household running, and running well.

Thank you for this video. Some people are on this kick of rushing into marriage. I know there are exceptions to the rule, but the best relationships and marriages are made when two people truly get to know each other.

This is awesome! A lot of people should benefit from this Parr couple. Because so many people go into the wrong relationship nowadays without understanding the value and necessary prerequisite for success in finding “the one” they operate on emotions but don’t look for key core values in their relationships. For years I’ve dated non Christian men which has caused so much heartache for me. I’ve decided to stop dating altogether, become celibate so that I can focus on my spiritual growth and accumulate clarity on what I really want in life whilst being obedient in my walk. I have to say what a game changer that is for me! I know now what to look for should if God willing in his plan for me to be in a new relationship in the future.
