Those rodents are not capable of hate, it would be natural shyness.

I have waited so patiently, and this evening, Sir Oreo Fatbottoms came running up to me , and let me pet him. A great moment , all the better because I had to earn the moment.

My guinea pig does all these things, and he also sleeps wherever and does that big yawn and stretch, as well as sleeping with his eyes either closed, or mostly closed. He does not like to be held or picked up, but he will hop into our laps on his own. He is a very confident little guy and gives lots of kisses or nibbles. He only ever bites if he's scared or thinks your finger is food, as he can't really see things below his face, so he uses his mouth to feel things out.

I have 3....wowzers!! Its been a health task for 2 of them but it turns out they are so healthy and they love me! We spend alot of time together so I'm thankful

I got my skinny pig a couple weeks ago and he’s the sweetest and always licks and nibbles he lays on my chest and licks my chin and it’s the sweetest!

We adopted ours when they were around 6 months. Very timid at first, but they do eat out of my hand. They never have liked being picked up or being out on the floor, but we got them a big 3 tier cage with hidey holes, stuff to climb over, go through, etc as the cats are usually about. One of them loves her cuddle time and the other one doesn't.

The man’s having a crisis

I recently lost one of my guinea pigs so the other one and I are alone. Luckily my pet does one of these signs and when it comes to carrying her I think she's more open to it day by day

I remember when my sisters and I were young, we had a guinea pig named Patch, and a white rabbit named Snowball. We discovered that Patch was actually a female after she gave birth to two guinea pigs haha Then, we renamed her from Patch to Patchie Not going to lie, I loved Patchie~ she used to climb up onto my shoulder and just chill there

My Guinea pig is called patch

I had pet Guinea Pig name Golden. He love the game chase. Not as scared but as play. You see on my channel I have him playing on the couch. When I first got him I upload a video and somebody said he was sick on it but he was fine. He was 3 months old when I got him and he lived until 5 years. So you should ignore comments who doesn't read the title and why he was laying low and far was because it was new. :)

my quinea pig keeps licking me all the time and when we are outside she always stays close to me and eats only when she knows i am there, she also lays down after a while when i pet her and makes noises

Also, if a guinea pig doesn't hide around you and sleeps around you while not in a hidey, it means they are comfortable around you.

My guinea pig has been with me for about three weeks and still runs from me in the cage. But outside he’s a pretty happy guy and jumps around a lot. He also comes to me for attention and food.

Bruh I've had my babies for 5 years and they still run away when I'm gonna pick them up lmao. They still show me alot of love, nibbling, purring, popcorning, squeaking when they hear me but when it's time to pick them up out of their house so they can free roam, they scramble around like I'm a bad person lol😭

If they popcorn after a lotta random things you do/ if they just popcorn for no reason. But I have boys. Sometimes I really do think they try to put up a facade towards each other.

My guinea pig's mother who has been 8 years with us died recently and I can't stop crying everytime beacause they look alike, whenever I pet her I start crying beacause she looks just like her and she starts licking my face, idk if it's beacause she likes the taste of my tears or something but I'll take it

Loll....mine like my cheeks and chine... It's the sweetest thing....but one dose it so much....it gets a tiny bit annoying....because her tounge seems to be rough 😅 But thay are so stinking cute!

i have a guinea pig named jax and he trusts me, but we are still working on eating out of my hand and letting me catch him. well he lets me catch him most of the time but, sometimes he doesnt want to be held.

My Svinka sits in my shoulder, dancing in circles and popcorns when I let her the right way, and chatter her teeth when I massage her

Guinea pigs will also show affection by "giving kisses" which is licking your hands, fingers, skin, etc.

One of my male Guinea pigs dose that all above but my other male is slowly getting there my year-old boy will let me touch him and come running up to the cage I've had him since he was born ...... My 8 month old I got from a pet shop because sadly my other Guinea pig passed away but he will take food out of my hand fall asleep with me in the room they both do .... So they know they are safe no matter what

I’ve had my pigs for 3 years and they like to lick and kiss but hate picking up and they don’t seem to like trailing

My piggies...mostly the female out of 7 I have...all give kisses👄👄 Thay lick my chin and ceek...until I give them treats...red,yellow bell pepers and carrots get me all the sweet kisses😙 And when you pick them up and hold them close....if you sitting comfortably...and thay lay on there side...or lay there head down on you....then that's a sign that thay are vary happy and and live in a low or stress free environment.....most of my 7 piggies display this behavior....only 3 haven't gotten to that point yet...but thay are baby's....only 3 months old still...but I'm sure it will come to them being just as carefree.....The way to your piggies heart is with food! Lots of veggies and some fruit to keep thing's interesting 🍎🍇🍅🍉🍈🍊🍍🌱🍃🍀🌾🌿

The only time my guinea pig is really scared was when I first got him he never came out of his home now he doesn’t care and I could always feed him by hand even when I first got him

One of mine, he does have massive balls 😅. .. no, but really. Either hes just that delusional or hes that devoted to me or both. To be a prey animal, i can only imagine how much courage it would take for him to go checking up on me. Little guy is always running towards me when he hears something irregular. Like for when i scream at bugs 😅. Stuff like that. But still, the world must be massively terrifying for them. I think the other one is just like idk man. Maybe my good looks will help save us or something. Hopefully.

Hi, it could be they think your fingers are food. You could try washing your hands, offering food from one hand only and stroking with the other. Some rodents can take a long time to trust us. One of our 3 piggies is an occasional nibbler, our dwarf hamster took 6 months to get past her biting stage. Hope this helps 😊

Mine does that too. But mostly my nails. I did cut them tho. I thought he was intimidated by them. But I started acting like a drama queen & faked cry. Idk if it worked or if he thought I was just being crazy. But he either felt empathy so much, he felt the need to inmitate. Either that or he was mocking me & laughing on the inside. I'm gonna go w/ he'll still nibble on me for some time 🤷🤔... I've only had him for close to 3 weeks by now

I have one that is way more courageous about his curiousity. The other one wobbles behind him. Thats how they act when they see other ppl too. Poor Whiskers. I always recommend ppl to hold him instead bc hes more calm. Axl is like helllll nah. Nope, nope, nope 💨🏃‍♂️✌️. But Whiskers just looks at me the whole time like you better not let these other ppl hurt me! ... Im putting my trust in you, damnit
