How to knit a doll - PART 1 - by ARNE & CARLOS

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If you ever had any questions about the different steps of knitting the doll here is your chance to see how we do it! Since this is a long process with many parts, we’ve split this video in three parts. Today, it’s all about starting the doll and getting past the heel, which is the hardest part of the entire project. // Buy the yarn here: arnecarlos.com/yarn/

I made my daughter one when she was about three. I've been making her outfits and accessories about every birthday. She's turning 9 and it's her favorite knitting book. Absolutely love the ideas in your book. She also brought it to school for a project to bring what most special to her. Because I made it and she absolutely adores her doll. Her dolls name is Dolly. 😊

So good to see how you do the heel, when I made my doll I was ‘following’ the book instructions and I think my dolls foot was slightly weird shape! However, the little girl who now plays with that Dolly didn’t seem to mind!

This was a nice video. I learned to knit English style, but tried the Norwegian style knit and love it. I will now try to purl Norwegian. It will take longer to get the hang of it, but I will. Thanks Arne & Carlos. This is a nice way to knit!

O MY GOODNESS! i received your doll book today as a gift! I'm so excited to get started! I grabbed a armful of my wool yarn. This should work ok...right? Also, I think the Lady dolls would look fantastic with a purse hanging on their arms. The girl dolls with a teddy bear or tiny doll. And maybe some yarn balls in a basket for the guys...I don't know....I'll think of something...lol From what I've seen and read, this book is VERY well put together. I would recommend it too anyone who loves to knit dolls! I spend many hours a day in bed, because of medical problems. So I thank you two, for your talents...that will forever keep me occupied and keep my mind off the pain!

I absolutely LOVE all of your videos. I learn so much from each video. And it is so nice visiting with you both as I watch. I have been knitting for many years (throw method-American) and I'm working on training myself to knit as you do. I'm having a hard time with the grip of yarn in my left hand. It's either too loose or too tight. I would love an instructional video of your knitting method. Many blessings to you both.

Hm! Not a huge fan of toe-up socks, so I think I'll start with a provisional cast-on above the heel, and knit it downward. Then I can undo the provo cast-on and resume according to your instructions. This looks like great fun!

Hello! I have your book and i love it! I have problem finding the right color for my doll. What yarn and color did you use for sissel, Arne, Carlos, beate, kaja? Dale garn falk in 0020 is to white, 3102 is a bit to pink, 2642 is to dark. The color you used to Arne, Carlos and so on isn’t mentioned in the book. In page 54 Agnethe seems to be knitted with 3102 and sissel in the color i wish to find! Please help!
