Always enjoyable Bill. Often buy an extra door and cut up as filler panels (you get both sides from a door) instead of using the filler panel.

Great work again Bill. The 20mm door edge hitting the 14mm filler looks right. It could be a whole other video to fill the tops to the ceiling and fit a cornice!

@@billshowto It sure would be a total other job. I'm guessing this is your renter so the dust/grease trap above the cupboards is fine. I'm about to build a kitchen under a ceiling that rakes from 2200mm to 3000mm with cupboards along the low wall and I envy anybody working with a flat ceiling!

Another top job Bill. What did you use to trim the filler? Did you have any issues with chip out of the laminate?

I used a regular circular saw and cut it with the finish side facing down so any blow out will Be hidden on the back side

Hi, thanks for sharing all your tips, tricks and expertise! Can i make a request please? Can you do a video on step by step ob how to paint a ceiling? I've looked at your videos on doing patchwork and cracks etc.. I see that you sand the ceiling after you've made the repairs... But do i have to sand ceiling if I'm just doing a refresh on a perfectly good ceiling? Any suggestions on techniques or tools to make the job easier would be great. I get told so many different things that I'm a little confused. It's been 20years since i've painted and the ceilings are in great condition, but its time to refresh them as I'm changing wall colours. Your 'Preparation work before painting a house-DIY' video was perfect and has helped me a lot (including many other videos), and I'm very confident in doing walls. thanks to your channel I can do so much on my own and save a lot of money too. ❤Zeljka
