1 - The film is on - drakon, says at the end of the video and in the description. It's been recently released in English as 'He is a dragon' or 'I am dragon'. 2 - Wyverns are dragons too. In the same way long eastern dragons are dragons.

Well I don’t think it’s in a dragons nature to kiss I don’t think that’s something they do, considering the shape of there mouth

I love his confusion to the act at first. Really makes it feel like he is experiencing a different, unknown emotion. I really like this scene, thanks for sharing. I wish there were more like this. Like someone else said, doesn't have to be sexual, just the romance is enough.

Now that's a cool looking dragon. Classic wyvern, good head shape, realistic movements, and the motion of preparing to breathe fire was awesome too.

That entire "dialouge" between her and the dragon. I kept imagining the dragon yelling "You put your mouth to mine! That's disgusting! Who does that?! You're disgusting!" etc. Sorry for ruining the scene.

I watched it last week. As a longtime obsesser of dragons for over 15 years now, I knew I had to see this, and it turned out to be the best dragon movie that I have ever seen. WHAT A MASTERPIECE!!! My other favorite dragon movie is Reign of Fire. But for I Am Dragon, the whole story is so beautiful and simply breathtaking. This will be a movie that I will always treasure. I highly recommend it for dragon lovers. 10/10

WARNING! LONG READING AHEAD! A young dragon by the name Doragon can’t quite figure out how to be a ‘real dragon’. So, to prove he’s a dragon worth messing with he kidnaps a princess. Since the only thing he knew about humans was that they where sometimes something you would want to avoid he struggled to learn how to ‘care’ for this princess while he awaited the knights. The princess’es name was Anura. Anura was a feisty young lady who was a bit.... confused about Doragon. While they did not speak the same language Anura could tell he was new at this. He seemed terrifying but she could tell pretty soon he was very....tame. Anura was annoyed when Doragon did something wrong which to us would seem rather easy to do right. Anura in her own way of using signs and such taught him how she and other humans did it. One day Doragon came back with small treasure he found along with a few books. Anura happily read them and Doragon, not knowing how to read watched the princess curiously. Anura caught him and she thought ‘I wonder if I could teach this dragon to read’. It didn’t take long for Doragon to learn. And a few days after he learned to read he tried to teach himself to speak human. His words often came out wrong and he would leave out a few words in a sentence but never less he learned to read, talk and slowly write. Anura was suprised when one day the dragon said “I Doragon” over and over until she realized Doragon was his name. One day Doragon had seen the knights approching. They where well far away and it would take at least 2 or 3 days before they reached him and Anura. Doragon that same day read a book with pictures that had a Prince/knight kissing a beautiful princess along with the words “I love you” Doragon was curious so he looked better into it. Apparently ‘love’ is another way of choosing a mate for humans. Although it seemed more... complex. Doragon glanced back at the princess, she was human he was dragon. He knew it wouldn’t work and ‘real dragons’ don’t fall for humans. On the day Doragon was expecting the knights he walked over to Anura who was reading her favourite book ironicly titled ‘Dragon Keepers” and he took him a deep breath. Anura, who knew this must be something important put down he book and turned to face Doragon. Doragon stared into Anuras eyes and whispered “I love Anura”. Anura stared back him, shocked. Doragon, thinking he didn’t understand or hadn’t heard him repeated “I love you”. Anura gently rested her hand on the side of Doragons head “I love you too” she whispered. At that moment before Doragon could react the knights charged into his lair. Doragon flared his wings but did not stop them. They ran over to Princess Anura and shouted and swung their swords at Doragon. Doragon quickly withdrew to the back of the cave hoping they’d just take Anura and leave. Anura deserved to be with other humans again. She needed to marry a human after all so the kingdom could continue. The knights continued trying to attack Doragon but Anura sat up and said “stop it! You’ll make it worse!” She looked at Doragon then turned back to the knights “if we leave now without trying to hurt him he will let us go peacefully.” Doragon nodded and the knights took Anura back down to the kingdom. Doragon watched them go even after he couldn’t see them. Almost a month later (btw it took about half a month for the soldiers to reach Doragon and Anura) a messenger reached Doragon. It was a message from Anura. She requested he come to the kingdom. Doragon trusted Anura knew what she was doing and flew to the kingdom with the messenger. Many people fled while others either froze in fear or looked out their windows at the dragon. Doragon made his way to the (ridiculously) large castle where Anura was waiting outside. Doragon was slightly confused as he approached. As he read from books and heard from Anura whenever the royal where outside or doing anything important they wore they’re best jewlry and outfits. Anura was looking almost the exact same as when he last saw her. The main difference was a black and white dragon necklace that where sitting down with their heads pressed agenst eachother and their tails twisted around together. Doragon stopped in front of Anura and lowered his head and slightly spread his wings in a bow (he could only do a small bow or he would hit something in the town). Anura lifted his head so she was staring right at him and said “don’t you ever bow to me again” and kissed him. The town stood him shocked silence and Doragon was too filled with emotion to move. Anura looked him in the eyes again “tell me. Why do you try so hard to act like a feicesome, bloodthirsty beast?” It took Doragon a minute to respond “because that’s what it means to be a real dragon.” Anura smiled “your real enough to me.” And she took off the white dragon of her white and black dragon necklace and places it around Doragons neck. It took a while but eventully after some talking with the king and queen and the council Doragon was allowed to live in the town. But he mostly stayed outside so he didn’t accidenlty destroy anything. Doragon happily protected the town from bandits, army’s and even other dragons that mocked him for being ‘fake’. Anura always assured him he was realer than any of those other dragons. Doragon stilled goofed up with not knowing humans but he had the best interests at heart. After Anura took the throne as Queen Anura she made Doragon (to his surprise and disbelief) her king and head of the army. Doragon of course needed help with that now and again. They even needed to make a bigger throne so he’d fit despite him hardly ever going in the castle. Anura of course never had any children. But as luck would have it Doragon one day after fending off a band of thieves found an orphaned boy among their loot. He and Anura took him in and named him Ko. Ko while knowing Anura and Doragon where not his biological parents that that Doragon was of course a dragon he loved them both dearly and often would ride on the back of Doragon. Eventully of course after years went by Queen Anura died a peacefull death in her sleep. Doragon was heartbrokon. Doragon stepped down and Ko became king. Doragon lived for many years and later he and his grandson King Mago made a special arena/training arena/stable for young dragons who wish to help towns like Doragon. And so that when Doragon eventully passed away (they live to be 150 sometimes 200) a new dragon could take his place as protector. Doragon through all that never once took of his black and white dragon necklace (after Anura died he took the black dragon and wore next to the white one). About 173 years later Doragon flew off into the mountains to search for a very feared army said to have been coming. The army nor Doragon where ever seen again. Towns people searched and searched but could not find Doragon or his possible bones. The only thing of Doragon that was found was the black dragon of his black and white dragon necklace. They did however find the dead army. Bones upon bones of a once very feared army. Some of them looked attacked but nowhere near enough to have driven them away. To this day nobody knows what happened. Now it’s up to you dead reader to decide. What do YOU think happened to the army? What do YOU think happened to Doragon? What do YOU think happened next? That’s all up to you. I know it’s long and cheesy but I came up with this myself and hope you liked reading it and I didn’t waste your time 🐲🐉 Edit: dear god, this is so incredibly old and I was so incredibly young when writing this, lol. But to everyone who's commented, boy you sure made a kid so very happy! I'm an adult now, but I've kept writing. Going from here, to fanfic, to class scripts. Loved it so much I'm in an actual film school now, and my top choice no less! I'm sure most of you folks from ~5 years ago will never ever see this, but if any of the rest of you do, it really does mean the whole world to a kid just to receive some kind words, no matter how silly or unpolished their work is. I may be a writer, but even I can't express how touched I get just reading all these comments again, old and new. Thank you, seriously. I found this clip to be great. The part where the dragon (Wyvern honestly) picks her up and the look on the soldiers faces was hilarious, then she kisses the dragon and his reaction too was funny. Then he realizes she is opening her heart to him and showing him pure and innocent love.. it's a beautiful and touching moment, a young maiden pledging her love to a magnificent, powerful and magical beast and him opening up to her for them to share innocent and pure intimacy with a cuddle. If he had spoke I'd of been so geeked!

Usually with foreign films, I try to watch them twice. Once in English as it is my first language and once in their original language. Aside from the quality of the voice acting, there are oftentimes plot elements that are different. Spirited Away being one that comes to mind. Where in the English version the protagonist immediately knows the dragon and Haku are the same person and at the end she is able to remember her time in the other world, implying that she has every chance to go back there in future. A very western, Disney style of happy ending. However in Japanese, neither of those things are true.

I do agree. Watching this magnificent film in the original version with subtitles in your preferred language deepens immensely your perception of it. I have already seen it multiple times. First in English and from then on in Russian. I am totally hooked 🌈🐉🌈

In contrast, in Asia it represents the power, pride, water, life... and of course the destruction as well. But like a vulcano covered by ice and dust, the dragon just get angry when you intend to harm it. If not, it's quite gentle. I hope that western director will have more film about dragon.

I think modern western media actually portrays dragons in a very positive light, e.g. the How to train your dragon franchise, GOT, HOTD, the modern Godzilla franchise ect

I think that dragons deserve on better plot motifs than attacking everyone or guarding treasure.

Rejvex14 In some mythology they are protectors of oceans, plants, people or other animals. We’ve only been given in media and fiction bad side of dragons.

Excellent movie. I enjoyed it so much. I love how she kneels before him and pledges herself to him.

I loved this movie! It was beyond fantastic! I loved the friendship and the love that grew. They weren't trying but eventually that's what came and it wasn't forced but so easy and natural. Amazing film.

Me too. But I was bummed that there's no original language option. I found that here on KZread.

The movie is nice and has a good structure. I really like wyvern animation ( ... wyverns belongs to drakonis family but... a dragon has 4 limbs and 2 wings... any way... this is a digression on the meaning of word dragon 😁 ) and the story plot. I love stage costumes and the scenography. This is really a good work.

This is how unconditional love overcomes any evil

For a really low budget movie it actually isn't as bad as I thought it would be quite a decent story to it aswell

I saw this beautiful beauty and the beast movie on an app not long ago and fell in love with it. It was called I am Dragon. English subtitles only. I have fallen in love with this movie and want to find a copy. It is as much a wonderful work of art as the original French classic Beauty and the Beast.

I've watched this beautiful fairy tale film (I Am Dragon) over and over. It's so breathtakingly shot and such a great story. If you have not seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it.

If anyone is wondering, this is from a Russian movie called "I am Dragon" you can watch it for free (with subtitles) if you have a Membership to Amazon Prime. They have the dub on KZread, but the voices suck...I much prefer the original Russian w/subs on Amazon Prime.

Seen by chance and already seen 4 times ... I decided to buy it so as not to lose it anymore, it is romantic, very sweet, he is simply splendid, there is no violence or sex and simply wonderful !!! A wonderful love story and I too cried and adored when Mira spreads her arms on the boat and Arman (dragon) goes to get her .... the Russians underestimated him luckily now he can be seen everywhere and I hope that the actors (very good) Stunning I repeat in beauty and skill Matvey lykov are awarded (even if very late .. this film is REALLY a MASTERPICES !!!
