I can buy the wedge theory, considering how fast they are moving relative to each other and the force exerted on the Hetzer certainly isn't from 188 tons since it's at an angle. No one really knows how sturdy a Hetzer can be in those situations with all the angled forces. The Panzer III side climbing 45 degrees rough terrain at 50km/h killed me more than anything. The Maus commander also decided that being encircled by early WWII tanks was better than blasting them from a safe distance while backing up, albeit at a snail's pace.

@@Volume52 I think why the Maus kill hits mlre is because it's actually has realistic logic. What's the thinnest part of even the most heavily armored tank? The top side. How you hit the top side? You drive a wedge(read as Hetzer) to lift the front part. Bait the turret to expose the top side of the back part, lock the turret in place and hit the exposed top side from an elevation.

Generalofkills Genofkills The tanks in this anime show have some extremely reinforced armor in their interior, to protect the crew from armor penetrations. The fact that the Hetzer was not crushed is just a side effect of the interior protection, one of the hetzer's crew member even jokes about it probably not being able to withstand a maus, after another crew member questioning the interior protection. On the flip side, the Hetzer breaks down and gets eliminated from the match a few seconds after getting out from under the Maus.

MilkyBob The armor on the Hetzer is not reinforced, but instead there is a extremely resistant layer of armor around the crew space of every tank in the show. That layer of armor is not only tough enough to resist a Maus ( even though one of the Hetzers crew members joked about it probably not being able to resist the weight of one) It also protects the crew from any armor penetrations. About ramming, they didnt really straight up collide but rather get under the Maus.

Im pretty Sure the "Maus" would crush the "Hetzer under its own weigth( the" Maus weigth 188 tons ).

The hetzer under the Maus would be crushed if the laws of physics was available in this show

there were only 2 Maus ever made in this world and one of them was destroyed for a goddamn tournament

To those asking why Hetzer wasn't crushed, in the anime it was explained that the interior of all tanks were reinforced with some material (don't remember what kind or if it was mentioned), these tanks are far much more sturdier than even nowadays tanks let alone the real WW2 tanks they were made to withstand a direct hit from 600mm shells while the crew wouldn't even get scratched, after all this is a sci fi anime in which people have constructed ships that are more than 10km in length.

This Anime is simply Anti-Newton Maus wight 188tons the most heavy tank in the world so far, Hetzer simply can not drive under it, if it even manage to did it with special terrain it will turn into a flat piece of metal under the Mats tank.

I find it funny how people cant get over that its just an anime, it was created for enjoyment of viewers and not based on realism, its like warthunders arcade mode, or world of tanks and its health bars. Its only anime and it doesnt have to follow accuracy, and if you have watched the anime you would know that the tanks are carbon coated to protect the crew. So what, yes the hetzer would get crushed by a maus in real life but this is not real life, every one makes like everything must be historically accurate, why exactly must it have to be accurate, i found the anime to be very creative and i thank the creator for bringing out a unique anime, its not common to see a anime having to do with tanks, infact this anime actually got me back into enjoying world of tanks.

I have to admit that the hezer in there is really extraordinary, the maus weighs more than 100 tons and still can handle it.

best way to kill a maus: wait for it to run out of fuel, or when it breaks down ( wating time: 10-20 mins)

@GIZMO 2.0 Physics would have meant that the Maus can't get there to begin with because some bridge or overpass can't bear its weight.

This anime broked the physics

Those girls would've died inside the crushed tank and you can't really open it up to retrieve their bodies. but overall... This is anime.
