How to Kick Like Buakaw | 3 Variations of the Lead Kick | Striking Tutorials

What's up everyone. I'm a bit late uploading today, but here we are. I realise that some of you are just starting your martial arts journey, so I wanted to make a video that was more about technique and less tactical.
In today's video we go over 3 variations of the lead kick: the switch kick, the walking kick, and a way to hide the lead kick. Buakaw is one of the best kickers, and he uses all three variations of the left kick regularly. It's only fitting to use him as an example of the textbook left kick. One common mistake I see many beginners make is in regard to the switching of the feet in a switch kick, so this video goes over the mechanics.
Be sure to give this video a like if you find this helpful, subscribe, and share.

What's up everyone. Thank you for all your comments and support for the channel. Your likes help KZread identify this as a helpful video, which helps other people find it too. As mentioned in the video description, I have a Facebook group for questions about the videos, or ideas on future videos. If you've already sent a request but have not answered the 3 questions, your request may still be pending. Please make sure to answer all 3 questions when joining the group. Anyhow, please let me know if you manage to use all 3 variations of the lead kick in sparring, and let me know what other videos you'd like to see.

I feel like throwing the arm back helps... but far too many people use it for too much of their power, they rely on it. There is no doubt it helps, because you are manipulating a weight at a distance, and that causes rotational acceleration. You can still use this weight at a distance with hand in front on you, but to a lesser effect. I practice often with hands behind my back... this will give you insight into the correct core weight transfer and overall base motion.... then you can add arms up front, or swinging as needed
