I show you how to interlock your own hair in this loc video. I started my locs with small box braids, and maintain them via interlocking. I installed my locs and self maintain them. Which loc tool do I use? I have used the EasyLoc Hair Tool since being loc'd (now more than 18 months loc'd).
I have tried the 2 point rotation, 3 point rotation, and 4 point rotation. In this video I explain 3 reasons why I use the interlocking method that I use.

Thank you so much. I will be using your two directions method. I was getting so frustrated because I was determined to take care of my hair.I am 65 years old, and I am so grateful that you took your time to help us that are locking. I started my locs with about 170 plaits. I tried once before and gave up. This time, I am one month in and still determined. Thank you.

This is the best loc video I've seen so far. You have been the only one I've seen that actually doesn't do too much confusing commentary or rambling. I can actually see what you are doing and how you started. Thank you so much. I'm in the process of researching locs. Trying to see if I want them, when I want them what type do I want and all that. So many of the videos I've been finding are 11 to 25 minutes long and in the end I still don't have any new information lol Yours is to the point and informative.

I'm telling you! I'm doing the same thing right now but I know I want them, I'm just trying to see the best way to start and maintain them and I'm seeing so many videos. Some are only nine or so minutes long, I watch them on x2 speed and they still take ages to get to the point 😂 The only good thing about watching those videos fast is that when I get near the end and realise they said a lot but didn't really say anything, at least I haven't wasted as much time 😂

Thank you for highlighting this 2 point rotation! I have often thought that this rotation better serves fine haired locked naturals than the tighter 3 and 4 point rotations. People tend to think the the 4 point is the holy grail for rotations and it is not particularly if you have fine hair. it creates such a tight loc that your hair can't expand enough to give your locs a fuller look. Please keep highlighting the 2 point! I absolutely think that for some DIY lockers this rotation will decrease a lot of frustrations with the looks of their locs.

I use a 4 pts rotation and my hair is fine. You just need to take your time and dont pull the rotations tight. Interlocking saved me as my retwists always came down the next day. I'm till able to keep my thickness.

I am SO happy that I found this video. Your locks are gorgeous and you give me SO MUCH hope! My interlocks were installed on September 21, 2016. I went to my appointments with my loctician faithfully until I realized that I was going to be moving next year and after doing a search, I realized that the prices were MUCH higher than what I wanted to pay, PLUS I am leery about my hair. I decided to experiment with retightening my own locks with the 2 point rotation, because I CRAVE simplicity. It looks awesome as of right now. I guess time will tell as the locks grow out whether or not I am doing everything right. My loctician was very supportive of my decision and has offered to be there for me is I need her. Thanks for the video!

I also like the 2pt because it makes for a softer loc, I find 4pt and up makes firm locs like if you loced from braids but 2pt makes a softer loc similar to locing from 2strandtwist. It has more squish factor, which I like.

@pheonixphire: does this "softer squishier" 2 pt. rotation lock remain as lightweight as 3 or 4 point rotation locks? That's what I had when I had SL, and they were never heavy.

I use the 2 & 3 pt rotations. Depending on how much new growth I have. My hair tends to grow uneven, in a month I have some locs where I only need 1 -2 point rotation, but other locs need several rotations. I just retightened 3 weeks ago, and some locs already need multiple rotations and some need none. But loving the journey!!!!!! Great video. Your hair is progressing well.

choczRN 187 Thanks so much for watching! 😊 I have only a few spots that grow faster than the rest. I just do 2 rotations on those, lol. Or I will occasionally create a 3rd point and go in from an angle so I don't go through the same hole twice, yet still have the loc pointing down at an angle.

Well done. Im starting my loc for the second time. I have slippage/new growth but not enough for my usual 4 point method. Your video was so well done and I'm gonna try it. Thank you so much😊

Your hair is so neat! I'm definitely going to try this 2 point method. It's a lot simpler. I always get confused with the 4 point. Thanks for sharing. New subbie!

This is definitely so helpful. I am about to do braid locs on my daughter who has autism. Due to her sensitivity sensory challenges, combing and brushing her hair turns into a battle. I use this method to maintenance them.

Omg thank you. THANK YOU 🙏🏽 I almost died these past two days trying to retie my sisterlocks for the first time using the 4 point rotation. I’m doneeeeeeee. Only two point for me now. God I’m so glad I found this vid. Cause trying to go all around the whole clock thing was annoying to my hands. I like this two point thing so much more. I’m actually NOT dreading my next retie now 😏 And you are so right. I found myself having to go back and untie a few locks because they were too tight from me trying to get the whole rotation in. 😒 ugh

I have to thank you for such a wonderful video explanation. I have been going back and forth about interlocking because palm rolling (4 years) is not doing it for me! I think I'm going to try your method and see how it goes.

So I am currently doing research on how I want to start my locs and what I want my end goal to be. I love the look of interlocked locs, but I’ve been shying away from researching it because I figured that it would be a hassle and time consuming to do myself compared to palm rolling (especially because I want small-ish locs). Thankfully I found your video because a 2 point rotation seems a lot easier than the 3-4 point, so now I am definitely considering it.

I have subscribed!!! This is sooo easy and seems much better on the hair in terms of stress. I think I will like the 2 point rotation better as opposed to the 3 or 4 point rotation. I'll make a year with my sister locks this November. My locks are very small. And my hair is somewhat thin. So I think this would be a better option for me when I can't get to my loctician or money becomes an issue. Thanks for this video.
