I’m also a nurse and watched the whole thing. We were checked off on drawing up insulin pretty much every semester at my school, just coincidentally, was usually insulin, Lasix or a narcotic of some kind (to practice wasting or checking with another nurse). Was good to watch this, because I’m a new grad in the OR, and the extent me giving meds is pouring them on the back table or handing them to the CRNA. I also have to learn to basically wing it because while stuff given in the patient like antibiotics and TXA are on the MAR, local is not, and it’s on the preference card and a lot of the times what they want is not in in the Omnicell, so I have to just find an alternative.

Very nice and straight to the point. I'm a home health nurse (like you call it in America) 😊 and most of my patients in the morning have insulin. But here in the UK, the insulin is already prep for us 😅. I like those kinds of clinical skills videos. Thanks nurse Madi, keep up the good work. God bless. Lots of love from London

So funny how things are done differently. We don’t put air into vials when drawing up here in Australia 🇦🇺 interesting though the reasons why it is done in some places
