    I am not criticizing the way he has showed how to put this together, but I would advise anyone who uses a tie out to not attach it to a collar but to a harness instead so to avoid damage to the neck.

    Yes, a harness is the best way to avoid any neck damage whether on a tie out on a leash. Our system can be used with either a collar or leash. Thank you for commenting!

    Not accurate read directions on any harness it clearly states not ment to be used unsupervised...also nothing wrong with a collar it's the owners neglect tht allows a growing dog's neck to get embedded in its skin...if u bath your dog atleast once a month or jus place 3 fingers between the collar and neck u will always know when time to loosen or tighten the collar....a harness is only used during a working...weight pulling competition, sled pulling, cart pulling, slat mill/dog treadmill and so on...all dog trainers use collars ...lastly harness give dogs a advantage to escape by extreme strong ability to pop, snap, pull out the ground tie outs... believe me 30yrs of owning dogs I learned the hard way.....imagine a cat in the yard and the 80lb dog running as hard as it can trying to pop the cable to get to the cat while wearing tht harness...u guys have no idea how strong dogs are

    The base plate is made of ABS plastic that can withstand extreme heat and cold weather. It flexes with the ground to allow the ground anchor to lock in. The base plate also reenforces the ground anchor by taking on the force of the pull from the dogs and diffuses it. The Double Dog Run works great for One dog as well and can allow you to add a second dog tie out cable at any time you please. It comes with a 2 year warranty that covers the replacement of the base plate, ground anchor and topper (normal install /use applied). For more information Please visit: doubledogrun.com Unfortunately, I don't know where you can get this in a small scale of one cut piece; but I hope this helps answer your question.

    Hi David- Thank you for your comment.The Double Dog Run is the original brand and patent for a two dog tie out. Our newer system (an upgrade from the one in the video) is based on physics and made with high quality components that are made to withstand 1200 lbs of Pull Force. Designed based on physics and reenforced with High Quality ABS, Heavy-Duty steel anchors, reenforced metal caged Rubber Toppers that absorb the impact on the anchor for strong pulls. Additionally, our hardware is galvanized steel with a 5/16 link on it for extra strength. the hardware also feature a dual 360 degree swivel movement. This creates a double axis point of 360 degree spin out - Basically eliminating tangles. (humans can mess this up by accidentally tying a knot themselves whine hooking the dogs up.) The tie out system is based on how dogs move and play - and allows for the most possible amount of movement for the dogs on an individually basis which means the dogs can play together or walk around separately without effecting the other. We made the system to last and to be tangle-free. It was designed and works as advertised - as a small business, we stand by the quality, strength and tangle- free abilities 100%. The dog tie out anyone has at their home should be strong, tangle-free and stress free for the dogs - and in return the owners are less stressed. We patented and started selling the Double Dog Run because of the enormous impact it had for us and for the dogs themselves. Huge life changer for both humans and dogs. Lastly, we are also the original inventors and patent holders of the Double Dog Run System - we understand how and why ours works over others. The others do try to mimic our system however we have yet to find one that can compete with ours. Again, thank you for your comment and interest in our video. Please let me know if I can answer anymore questions. Please check out our new system here: doubledogrun.com

    How exactly is this supposed to be tangle free? Sure there's no post or tree for the dogs to wind the ropes around, but if you walk near the dogs they'll still tangle the ropes around your legs and trip you up or tangle them around each other.

    Hi- we do not advise walking within the leads unless you are very agile. We have been in business for over 12 years and have learned that there is a very short learning curve for the dogs . Most dogs instinctively pick up their food if they feel the lead coming near them. You will see the dogs in all these videos are doing this. It happens naturally. We would not produce something dangerous or unsafe for our dogs or anyone else’s. Thank you for commenting

    Hi Uncle.Breed! We designed the tie out to have several points of 360 degree movement. We found that this specifically improves the tangle-free aspect of the tie out cables. Additionally, the topper acts as buffer between the cables to help separate them. Those components combined (the hardware and topper) create a maximum tangle-free tie out experience. I hope I answered this for you accurately. Thank you!

    Hi- often, people get longer leashes than their dogs actually use. If the dogs are not pulling the leashes or tie out cables completely apart every now and again- the tie out can't reset. Pleas check to be sure your dogs are using the tie out cables to their full length, if not, get shorter leashes and that should remedy the issue. Another thing is people sometimes accidentally put a knot in the cables between unhooking and rebooking the dogs. Be sure to pull on each leash to make sure the cables aren't knotted and the swivels are reset for use. Also, you want to be sure the tie out is completely installed flat to the ground, with no corners or edges sticking up. And lastly, are the tie out cables both hooked to the same upper most link on the hardware? Having the cables hooked to different links will create tangles. Be sure that both cables are hooked side by side to the upper most swivel of the system. Please contact us if you need more assistance. We are here to help! DoubleDogRun.com

    which is stronger: this or the SureSwivel?

  • @Doubledogrunsystem

    @Doubledogrunsystem

    7 жыл бұрын

    The SureSwivel is a good design and the inventor should be proud of their creation. We enjoy having the competition, however our tie outs are designed for TWO dogs while the SureSwivel is for only one. The only thing we can say is that our tie outs can hold two XL breed dogs weighing up to 250 LBS each with no issues and has been tested for over 5 years on the Large and XL breeds. As for the SureSwivel we are not sure if it can or will hold two XL breeds weighing up to 250 LBS each. One big difference that we can point out is that our ground actors are made of cold rolled steel while the SureSwivel anchors are made of plastic. Add in our base plate for added security and the strength our steel anchors only gets stronger. We leave it up to the public to decide what system will work best for them. We are not in the business of running other systems out of the market (although many other companies would). We are a company that had a vision, just as SureSwivel's inventor did and we only wish the best and to co-exist in the dog tie out market. So with that said, we leave it up to you, the customer, to decide what system works best for your dogs / pets.

    Hi- thank you for your comment. You are correct- all other tie outs will pull out. BUT our dog tie out is way different and designed using physics. If you ever come across one that is installed and have the pleasure of being asked to pull on it - you will see why ours is MUCH different from the rest and why I speak with honor and confidence about our product. I have seen very big guys minds' blown by our system and its strength. If you have been disappointed in the past with other dog tie outs - I encourage you to try our system for your Mastiff. Our system could hold 3 if we wanted to. I understand I take the risk of sounding conceded about our tie out and too sales-ish or something - but what I am is confident in our Double Dog Run - its strength, quality and abilities. This video was the first model and it was very strong. We have since improved that model and now can hold up to 1200 lbs of pull force. No joke. I do appreciate this comment greatly because it is the first thing anyone says about a tie out stake- especially if you have big dogs- BUT that is exactly who we designed the large dog tie out for. UP XXL dog breed. I'm not just saying we're the best - I know we are the best. We are just too small to hit the mass market- But, we are working on that - AND hopefully this will make the product much more affordable as well. As a small business it is expensive to make a high-quality product in the USA - but we will not offer a less quality product in return for a high volume of sales. Our product means something to us and we are confident in what it does and how it can reduce stress for dogs and their owners. We are not your average dog tie out stake- we are much more. Please take moment to check out our newer model: doubledogrun.com Again thank you for this comment and appreciate you viewing our video. All my very best!

    Good idea but unnecesarily elaborate. All you need is a peg in the ground and a swivel shackle, one end over the peg and the other end for the leads to attach. It just lies on the ground. It untangles when one of the dogs pulls its cable tight . If they run around close together it does not have to untangle.

    Hi- thank you for commenting! We are aware of what other tie outs claim to do, but almost all of them do not deliver; and fail to keep dogs secure and safe. That is why this product was invented and patented by us - as dog owners with a Pit/mix and a Beagle/ Boxer mix. As young pups they were incredibly strong and agile, so the tie out needed to be secure and we worked very hard to design it to do so. Here at Double Dog Run our systems have been tested for over 9 years by our customers with the strongest breeds, including Pitbulls and Cane Corso breeds. We are a small US company and we are confident in our dog tie outs completely. Please take a moment to check out our reviews on this product: doubledogrun.com/products/tie-out-for-large-and-xl-dogs Please also see our unedited video on XL Dogs: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qnqCwdKNf5jLdJM.html I encourage you to check us out if you are , indeed, looking for a solution. This system works- no it does not tangle. I use it on my dogs and have had zero tangles. Yes it looks like it would tangle- but it never does! awesome product- love it!

    You can use either a collar or a harness, with our system though a collar is best for the "twist-out" aspect of things. We have an entire article on which is best, when and why here: doubledogrunsystem.blogspot.com/2016/08/collar-or-harness-which-one-is-better.html
