    This is the DIY fence I've been looking for. Thank you! Simple (as far as a fence goes), yet functional and it looks great! Question: Did you use pre-treated wood? I saw your $12/linear foot and was just curious. Sorry if I happened to miss an answer in the video.

    I am going to use this idea to build a fence to keep my cats in. I will do an 8ft tall fence and then at the tip have some horizontal standoffs with wire on it to keep the cats from climbing to the top and going over.

    I just subscribed to your channel as I also live in central Florida and love to garden but I have a lot of trouble with seedy eggplants. I noticed in your video with Pete Kanaris you mentioned the eggplants you loved with hardly any seeds and they were purple and white. Could you please tell me the name you said was Rosa something. I like eggplants but I refuse to sit there and pick out the seeds and the seeds are very hard. I would like to try the ones you like? Are they the Rosa Bianca? That was the name I came up with after googling it. Thanks Florida Gardener Zone 9a ( Citrus County )

    It looks like they don't use concrete. Just dig a hole, set the post and then tamp the dirt in around it.

    Dan Matthews Dan, the fence is all tied in using those brackets I showed on how to screw each 4 x 4 got a bracket that holds the 2 x 4 that’s how it’s all tied together everything is all flushed from the outside we used fence staples to hold the horse wire in place, we are a new channel and we’re definitely learning what we need to make sure we include in our DIY videos LOL we have a new one coming out this week on how to build a DIY pallet wood shed that we took a lot of the lessons we learn from filming the dog run and apply to. Thank you for the feedback will definitely make sure to do this in further videos which I hope you check out!

    Rather than digging a trench wouldn't it be easier to bring the fence to the ground and bend it outward (or inward) to create a skirt? We do this for chicken runs to keep predators from digging.

  • @Doksamauru

    @Doksamauru

    In this scenario, this is easier and more secure for them, especially for dogs. But skirted wire is definitely good as long as you bury it a bit and it actually goes out 16+ inches.
