How To Install The Element RC Enduro Optional 11.83% Overdrive - Holmes Hobbies

When you have a new RC truck in your fleet, it’s only a matter of time before you start tinkering with it. One of the latest additions to the Holmes Hobby fleet is the Element RC Enduro. This truck is pretty impressive out of the box. But what is even more impressive is that it comes with option parts for tuning right from the factory. What makes this truck stand out is it’s 6% overdrive right out of the box. BUT Element RC also includes gears to increase the overdrive to 12% (just rounding things up here). In this video, John, the man behind Holmes Hobbies digs into the Enduro transmission and shows you how to install the optional overdrive gear set.

Love the videos Mr. Holmes. Always informative thank you for your time! As a side note, what product of yours would you compare to the mamba X esc? Seems I have been having some problems with start up with the mamba as well as the sidewinder. I would love to support your company and would love to test some of your esc’s. I am running a brawler, (bash/crawler) style truck, trx4 with very high speed. I love the speed however I would also like to get more low end control. Thank you John for all that you do fo us consumers. Bangarang!

Can you put the default 6% to the back and the 12 to the front are only change out the front

  • @puzzleluvr

Tootsie Pop Owl is a good guess if you never watched Sesame Street. John is doing the "Count" from Sesame Street. The Count is a Muppet vampire, like Count Dracula, that lives only to count numbers. Well.... and probably drink blood once in a while, you know, so he can live, and keep counting numbers. Blaa Ha Ha Ha Haaaa !

I respectfully disagree, good Sir. Being familiar with both the owl and The Count I can see how one could confuse the two. The giveaway is in how he says the number two, "ta-hoo" (the owl) vs The Count's forceful "TOOH!". Edit: Just as I was posting my comment, John did indeed mimic The Count as he reassembles the transmission at the end of the video. My apologies, good Sir!
