Please watch other videos, when nailing, you should us another nail to move grass blades out of the way of the nail head so you are not nailing blades down under the nail head. Also, the best way to get a compact surface is to rent a vibrating compactor. After you clear the area, you can use a product called caliche, a limestone, silica product that is spread down even and compact it down.We used 3.5 tons, delivered to the curb for 175.00. Fill low spots as needed and compact until the whole area is flat and compacted. You can put a few bags of treated infill over the top and compact again. This will help minimize bacterial growth, weeds and reduce urine smells from animal urine. A black weed tarp also helps prevent weeds. I would also try an artificial turf dealer in your area, they also sell the treated infill at a better price. There are 3 sizes of infill depending on the length of grass you buy. 2 to 4 pounds a square foot. The area done is 500 square feet. We got the turf and infill on sale and saved a lot of money. Our area we did was 1,300 for for material. We paid someone to do the job, 1.000.00. and 7 hours of solid work except for a half hour for lunch. We bought pizza and soda. We also had an ice chest full of bottled water and ice. You can hose the lawn down every week or so if you have pets and want a odor product, we use simple green, pet odor eliminator every couple of weeks. We live in Southern Nevada, so it gets hot. Another tip is, Warranty, ours is 15 years unless it gets melted from window glare. If you put your grass near windows where the sun can concentrate on spots on the lawn, it will melt it. The Turf places will tell you this, you can buy film to prevent that for your windows. Remember, if this is your DIY project, watch lots of videos, use rental shops for expensive equipment and plan the project. If you have existing lawn water system, take the heads off and plug pipe. Locate the water supply pipe for those sprinkler heads and disable it. I shut it off, I cut the supply pipe and capped both side of the pipe I cut out.

Is this the same house, (it looks like it), where the fencing was pressure washed and stained, but the final reveal was never shown? Something is out of sequence here.

We installed the artificial grass while waiting for the wood to cure before staining the fence. Next week, we will launch the reveal video including an outdoor kitchen build. Thank you for watching!

Artificial grass suffocates the soil, gets so hot in the sun that it can burn feet or paws, and when water stands on it, it really stinks. Also attracts mosquitos. A real estate friend of mine told me it also lowers the value of a home. That and landscaping cloth are truly awful on many levels.

My realtor told us the complete opposite …..she said here in Fl …Studies show that homes with fake grass not only bring higher prices, but they also sell faster than homes with maintenance-intensive natural grass lawns. but then again I’m sure it would also depend on the quality of the turf …age and installation…multiple factors..
