I have no clue how to make any of these "dude projects." I have no patience to learn these things. 😔 I always skip to the final product. But a mini pond sounds cute. I want a coy one. 🤔💡Im gonna put those kiddie pool things into the ground. Itll be cheap & i can rig it up to look just as nice 🤗. Im just being stupid. These are the things i do at 3 am.

I just discovered the weekender ..I just read this where it's no longer being done..sad..
It's best to put the pump at the furthest end from the waterfall as it helps the water to circulate properly.

Yes, but waterlilies hate moving water. But this design is horrible anyway, if you ask me. It feels cheap and 80% of the black plastic is still visible, once the water is clean.
Best pro tip was reminder to keep edge of pond liner above surrounding ground! If not for that, my future pond would likely result in fish swimming through the grass in my yard at the next heavy rain! Thank you for the tip!
Monicaaaa! Yay! Hope y'all are working on another season of The Weekender. Give the people what they want, Lowe's.

I love this pond! I think I’ll put one in my backyard. I’m so glad you are making videos again. Thank you for all your knowledge.
Wow, this project was more involved than I realized. So glad to see Monica back! An approximate cost for this project and amounts used would be a nice addition to the video . Thanks for sharing this project with us.

Old comment but I’ve seen plenty vids showing how to build budget ponds (100$). It will obviously not be as extravagant as this shown one (300$) for the plastic liner alone, over 1000$ overall is cheap for a fully built pond with proper filtration, with plants and rocks.
@Ohdipson8

@@Ohdipson8 use lime stone liner you could make a 600 gallon pond for 99$ using it. Pumps are 30$ on Amazon as well. You may be able to find some old pool liner if you ask around enough even. Wish you the best of luck in building your pond.
We all love Monica! Glad to see again!

How’d it turn out!?
Spot on both of You! Watched it all the way in Australia. I have learned to put an escape for water that would lift and tilt a pond like that. I happened 2x. Trees I would keep well away. I have two ponds connected with a waterfall but it does not always run. So I need to wait for my Springtime! Richard
I'll be starting my waterfall pond soon and this vid is super helpful, thanks for sharing 😊👍👍👍👍👍
What a lovely pond!
Woo! Great instructions all around
Thank you - I'm looking at creating a pond and this is really helpful.
The didn't go into it but please do plenty of research on filtration and keeping good water parameters if you get fish
Beautiful job,well done 👍
How did I miss this? My favourite YT show :)
Ya-ya! Monica is back!! ❤❤❤
Absolutely amazing
You make this look so easy.
What a beautiful job.
Just got a free pond shell. Going to install it in my garden railroad this summer. Great video to find here.
Small suggestion. Before adding the backfill sand, temporarily place some concrete block on the bottom of the liner. This will help prevent the liner from moving as you add the backfill.
Beautiful good job guys
Excellent video. Explained everything. Im gonna try it.
Good job guys! A happy happy video 👌🏼😄
Nice video! My neighbor put in a pond and learned that you should also think about putting places where critters can get out if they get into the water. He found a dead rabbit in his and a few birds, too.
Love the video, I have a very similar setup (I have a couple videos). I really love the sand in my backyard and have a "beach", a little bit of extra maintenance but completely worth it.
Very pretty!
Great video, explains how the system worked especially for beginners.
I Love the projects that Monica is a part of. I didn't even want a pond in my garden....now I do 😆. When is the weekender coming back?

Beautiful
Perfectly lovely little pond. Thanks for sharing! Would liked to have seen a close-up on how the landscape around filter looked when finished. We're also looking at putting in an overflow drain, and an auto-refill....totally self sustaining.
Thanks this really helped out a lot!!
Adorable!

Beautiful, wanna it make at home.
That is stunningly beautiful and would love to make one and add Japanese Koi.
I'm hooked on this Monica person. It's so empowering to see a woman lead a conversation in home improvement and do it so well. I know they're out there, and I feel like more women would be encouraged to learn with some good leaders.

Make sure that the water is clean and you are able to take care of it properly, like cleaning the water and making sure the right type of bacteria grows In there, cause that in the video is clearly just for show
I did this for under $100 and it turned out like absolute paradise! My family also has a history with building them, so it was fun!

Hi...I don’t see links to the big flagStone that you are putting along side of the pond. Where do I get them from? Link to it please?
Nice procedure
How long do u keep the pump running? Do u ever switch it off?
Very cool
Does Lowe's sell the flagstone as well? That's the one link I was interested in finding, but it's not in the list.
Looks amazing. Ya'll made that look way too easy. Can't wait to have a pond at my house.
Monica, Please give advice. I live in Dallas wonder if the depth of the pond like you’re doing would keep the water cool enough for koi fish during the summer heat here.
Is there some kind of petition to bring the weekender back? I miss it! And it comes in handy with people like me who have no clue on how to work power tools!
Moss would really make the rocks pop. Plus it would probably assist in the filtration of the water.
Wow, gorgeous! Just need to find somebody to work with me on this. Bought my first house that sits on a double property. Have literally a blank canvas to work with. Thanks, Monica 👍 and guy!

love the pond, Thanks, Monica. I would like it to be a little bigger in size, wondering any other idea on how to do the waterfall with a little greater height?
@PedramBastan

You do something similar but stack your dirt pile higher or use bigger rocks then cover with the liner and run a longer tube up higher. It's pretty simple. Just make sure you have control over the water flow. You can get really creative if you plan it.
