How to install and set up a BMX Gyro (the proper way).

In this "How To" video we look at how to setup an Odyssey Gyro, and some tips and techniques to boost the performance. This particular guide focusses on the first generation Odyssey Gyro, however the principles we use can be applied to almost any gyro available today.

    Just curious about the barrel adjusters…. If they are all the way screwed out , won’t that make it difficult to tighten the slack once the cable is stretched and broken in?

    No not at all. You can adjust it at the brake calliper for the lower section, or the “splitter” in the upper cable if the slack is above the gyro. It’s far more important to use the barrel adjusters on the gyro plates to balance the system, and then use the other adjustment points for cable tension. Hope that helps.
