Ring Battery Doorbell: amzn.to/42RBepx
The Ring Battery Doorbell Plus is a wifi video doorbell that allows you to remotely monitor your home through the video feed from the doorbell. The Ring Battery Doorbell Plus is unique in that it can run on it's own rechargeable battery or be hardwired in which case the battery does not need to be recharged.
The Ring Battery Doorbell Plus has 1536 HD resolution, head to toe video with an extremely wide angle lens and a color night vision. All of which are upgrades from previous generation doorbells. The 1536 HD resolution looks great on your phone or even when expanded to larger formats when viewing on a computer.
The wide angle lens helps give a more clear picture of activities going on closer to your doorbell like someone standing on your porch or dropping off or picking up a package.
How To Install Ring Battery Doorbell Plus:
1. Turn off power to existing doorbell wiring.
2. Remove existing doorbell.

"WARNING" If you are installing your Ring with the wedge, do not use the long screws (video at 13 minutes). Use the smallest screws. If try to use the long screws you will crack the bracket or strip the screws. I found out the hard way.
This is the best video on KZread for installing and setting up! Thank you so much!
At time 3:45-4:00, mounting the ring to the wedge, you can't use the four long screws as shown for all four holes. On the short side of the wedge you need to use the smaller length screws. Otherwise you will break through the wedge and screw more holes into your wall.

I learned the hard way. 😞I used the long ones for the thick side and then realized the short ones are needed for the narrow side of the wedge. I hope I didn't break anything with the long screws.
Thanks! Keep bringing updates to the RING community 💫
Thanks - very helpful! My device didn't come instructions that made sense. You clarified everything I needed to know.
This doorbell takes up a lot of space compared to others!
Thank you so much, sir, for your tutorial. I appreciate your patience and knowledge. Best Regards to you. 🙂
Thank you. Very helpful 🙏🏾
Excellent. Very thorough.
EXCELLENT video - Thanks for sharing!
So appreciate this instruction!
Excellent instruction many thanks
Thank you!
Thank you for the good instruction and video. I just subscribe. 👍
Thank YOU!! This was so hard to find and Ring helped NONE! Kudos
Thanks for posting this!
Happy to have my camera
Thanks for the video. One question, where can I buy that black base with an angle that I install with the doorbell plus?
How do you adjust camera view? In the software or have to move the entire camera? Great video.
Thank you
I have doorbell 3 but plan on getting doorbell plus because im tired of the battery draining and having to charge the battery. Anyway I have doorbell 3 mounted with the wedge piece and the doorbell mount for doorbell plus seems kind of flimsey in comparison. Can installed the doorbell plus using the old mount from doorbell 3???
Can one ask when you put the electric back on to the doorbell did a light stay on, on the front of the doorbell
Hello! What size drill bit do you need to install the wedge? I have to install the wedge on a brick exterior and need to order a brick drill bit. What size should I order?
What about the chime. Do this one rings the existing chime too?
does any other type of ring baseplate work I hate the wedge
Other ring door bells comes with jumper cable when wiring is needed. Does this model need jumper cable? I don't see one in the shipped box?
If you use the wedge, then you only have to drill two holes into the wall and four screws screw into the wedge?
Need to link the wires at the chime
My doorbell is a on ceramic plate no screws. What drill do I use to make the holes?
Is there anyway to turn off the white light around the ring when it’s hard wire
you dont need to kill the power if you know what your doing, doorbell is low voltage
Do you have to hard wire this? Or can you just use the battery. I have one but our door bell wiring is not powered

You can do either. We have a hard wired doorbell, but I can't put our Ring there as not enough space!!.
Is there a caveat with the purchase? Is any monthly subscription required?
He didn't start with what comes in the box or give both options of installation.

idk if it’s just me, but the screwdriver they gave me doesn’t work ..? like it doesn’t have a tip that goes into the screws - the tip is just round with no edges
Do you need to mess with the door bell chime box in the hallway tho?

No you do not. I just bought this Ring Plus after exchanging the one I previously bought because of the power kit piece. I don't have a doorbell chime box, plus the doorbell button at my front door does not have power. A neightbor recommened this device to me.

If you are using a wired unit you would install a jumper on the transformer in the chime box. If you are using a Ring unit with a battery you do not need the jumper, as it takes a lower voltage to run the unit.
I can't use the door bell wire becasue it would just face the wall instead of the front.
How does one turn the power off ones doorbell?

You have to go to your breaker box to power it off. If it's not indicated, you'll need to find where your chime bos is located and turn off the breaker for that area. Else, turn each breaker off until the light goes off on your existing doorbell.
What if you want it to be standalone?
Those are the wrong screws for holding ringer to baseplate!
Wait I thought it was only with battery? My door doesn’t have space for wires?
what if i don’t have an existing doorbell?

Then you can put it anywhere, but you'll have to remove and charge the battery occasionally.
I don't have wifi, can I use the doorbell

I was thinking of this questions too, I thought this camera was battery only, I’ve seen wires and found out it’s WiFi only too. Doesn’t this company have a normal plugged doorbell camera?
Nothing like spending 13 minutes to present information that could be presented in 90 seconds.
why is no one talking about how we all saw his is location?
Pulling the cover off to expose the battery is not that easy it looks like his cover was already taken off and just was laid on top of the ring doorbell
Am I tripping but what’s the point of putting battery instead of wired in the tittle

Some older houses like mine don’t have a doorbell so there’s no wiring. This is a solution to that.

@scoops1996 that was the original reason I thought of (why I'd want it) but then realized, if there's no power then you won't have wifi for it to connect to the cloud.

@@SirMike02I thought the same thing lol I was looking for battery installation, not wired.
You don’t have to be that close to the device.
Stupid video, put wired in the title if you’re doing a wired install smh
You don’t want to turn the power on 1st make sure that’s working prior to battery?
