We did a "restart" and finally worked!

Please help someone anyone I have the wireless one that comes with the rechargeable cable and I’ve cleaned it and looked up different vids and I’ve pressed the reset/paring button at the top to play wirelessly but it will only work if I have it plugged in now and I use to not have this problem for at least a year or so.

So i have the cable and everything's plugged all the way but its still not connecting any tips?

This video helped bruh all I had to do was press the cable harder in 😭😭

I have a wired controller and use and different cable that did not have the notch and it does not work

Do you mnow where i can buy the wire since i lost it?

try a new dock or a new controller if it still isnt working try a new switch

I plugged mine. Ony the power light comes on. I cant get it to do anything. Any help is appreciated

hard power off and back on got mine to work, not sleep mode but hold the power button down and turn off for 10 seconds then turn back on

Thank you! I was loosing my minde.

I thought the home button wired controller would turn on nentendo switch but you said had to turn on manually. I think that is why people might think it does not work

Correct. If I ever make another video about this controller I will start with that for sure

Bought a used one that seemed to be in decent shape. Had to get a cable for it. Cable connects. Light on the controller comes on. Nothing works on the controller. Turned on the wired controller option in the menus. And still nothing. I've done everything I can think of or has been suggested. Some online forums have suggested that there were issues after software updates. Going to try the power down trick next.

I just did an update of the software. Then shut it off and turned it back on. After that it now connects and works with the dock.

I'm not sure why, but even though I have auto update set to run on my Switch, it doesn't look like it had done it in a while. And I manually started the update. And since I don't play it as much as I'd like, I'm honestly not sure when it was last updated. Either way, it works now.

My controller power button is not working and it won’t connect what should I do

thats right. you have to press the power button on the switch or use the joy cons or a witeless controller

What do I do if I don’t have a dock

If you don't have a dock then it won't work. Sorry. Best bet would be to get a wireless controller
