How to install the ESS P-2B Rx Insert into the ESS Crossbow Eyewear.
This installation is very straightforward and easily accomplished. The hardest part is installing the P-2B nosepiece onto the Crossbow lens because it's a very tight fit. You'll have to apply plenty of pressure to snap the nosepiece into place.
The P-2B Rx insert also fits the ESS ICE, ICE NARO, Profile Goggle, and Turbofan Goggle. So, you can use the same insert for multiple types of eyewear.

@Heimdallar Since the Rx inserts are installed behind the main lens, they do sit closer to your face. The distance will vary depending on your face size and shape, but the vast majority of users should have plenty of clearance. If you wear the ESS ICE elastic retaining strap overly tight, that could cause the glasses to sit much closer than normal. If you have any doubts, trial fit the Rx insert before you have them filled with your prescription.
@sakanora Yes, most local eye care chains can craft the lenses. They will need the Rx Carrier to use as a template for the lenses.
How do the inserts sit when the glasses are worn? One of the remarks i heard was that the inserts pushed against you eyepits (dont know whether it's the right word) and that it hurts after a while.
Is there any other way to use prescription lenses on the Crossbow besides using one of those inserts?
How do you install the Vice Rx inserts on the Ess Crossbow?
Can the lenses for the inserts be carved by any lens dealer?
Sorry, but the Rx Insert is the only way to use a prescription lens with the Crossbow. The main lens has too much curvature to prescript.
how many times can you swap out the lenses before they start to break?

The insert is rather robust. You should be able to swap out your prescription hundreds of times, before any noticeable wear develops.

hambone950 No. The P2B will not work with Oakley styles. The P2B will only work with the following ESS styles. Where the fuck do you get that specific nose piece that lets the lenses snap in. I can’t find a nose piece with those two channels at the PX

The P-2B Rx insert does NOT fit. However, the U-Rx insert is compatible with the Crossbow Gasket.
