Great vid. Drilling the holes was a pain for me. One side the clips matched the holes but the screws went in at a slight angle and the bit made the hole a bit too big in the plastic of the fender. I just used black silicon sealant for the bare metal and to fill the plastic around the screw head. The other side, my holes were too far away so the clip holes didnt line up when I slid them on. I just used the clips like you did for the plastic peice. I set the clip over the hole on top like a nut and held it in place with needle nose pliers then got the screw in. It worked great. Taking the tires off the rear would have made the rears easier, plus my angle driver was freaking massive and couldnt get in the spaces. I used a small ratchet driver with the T bit.

I'd like to see a front bumper upgrade. Great videos on the Colorado 👍

Where did you find flares to fit the ‘21 Z71??

Is this basically how the 2021 Silverado fender flares go on? I got some from my dealer and I have no instructions.

Great vid. I did the same fender flare install to mine a few weeks ago. Very simple, using the same factory screws as noted by you that makes sense. So now, I decided to change out my fog light bulbs to install LED bulbs. Now to get to the fog light bulb, you need to remove the screws from the fender flare, located in the front of the tire, like screws 1 - 3, so you can move back the fender wheel liner to access the fog light bulb, Fender flare screw 2 is under the flare and not accessible due to the fender flare double sided tape. I dont want to break the tape bond, so I was wondering if there is another way to get to the fog light bulb, maybe via the black plastic waffle plate ? Thing is, I prefer not to remove the front fender flares, and destroy the double sided 3m automative tape..... Thanks

Can you put these fender flares on with aftermarket mud flaps I got some WeatherTech type mud flaps on my truck and I still want to keep them there so is there a way you can still Mount these fender flares with them, have you done that already?

I have a 2020 Colorado, but cannot find these flares anywhere. On Amazon, they say they are unavailable. Couple other sites say up to 2019, but not 2020.

Do the flares go over the plastic mud flaps in back and front of ?

The part number has changed for at least the 2022 - wokring at the dealership any indiciation if that is still the same process?

Just get a handful of washers and you can use whatever bolts you want.

Yeah those flares they look good but prepare to keep them on forever because once you take them off there will be paint damage as my friend found out

Will these fit a 2021 Colorado Z71? I can't find these they are either out of stock or listed as discontinued.

I was wondering do you ever bang your shins on the assist steps? I'm 6ft and don't think id ever actually use them but I do like the looks of them and thinking about installing some on my 19 Colorado.

Any one know how to touch the adhesive on the flares ? My flare on the rear driver side is slightly pulling away.

Hey, this is really helpful, but did you not re install the rear little flaps you removed? is that why they want you to use the longer screws? to compensate for the plastic double up if you put the flaps back on?

He said he did not have paint on hand. I would have painted it as this will rust for sure.

Looked like you did not use the 3M Activator except for the little bit on plastic piece. There is a huge difference in the holding strength of the tape when the activator is applied.

Go to the my Chevy app under accessories and look up by your vin. I got the 21 crew cab and my part number is 86777977

They don’t have them anymore on Amazon nor the GM website
