How to Install Firebricks in a Smoky Lake Corsair Arch
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I made a video of insulating and installing the fire bricks in a Smoky Lake 2x6 maple syrup Corsair Arch. I purchased the pre-cut bricks from Smoky Lake. The process was simple and Smoky Lake provides excellent how to instructions.

I hope it helps an aspiring maple syrup producer out there!
Wasn’t that deversion piece suppose to be covered in insulation as well? I just got my evaporator and getting ready to brick mine.

You are exactly right! I changed it after the video was made and someone pointed that out to me. All the best!
I’m getting ready to make my order for my corsair. Kinda confused about the belly pan situation? Is this something that doesn’t normally come with the evaporator?

The belly pan normally comes with raised flue pan set. The belly pan forces thee hot air up into the flues. It was a mistake that it did not come with my order. When I contacted Smoky Lake they were helpful and promptly sent the belly pan with no Hassel. To be clear the correct method of installing it is under the fiberglass blanket.

@@southdownfarm6323 thank you for the reply
How do you attach the insulation to the evaporator?

Good question…The insulation is fairly stiff, cut it a smidgen large then tuck it in and it will stay in place on its own.

Thanks so much!
Great video except for the riser not being installed correctly it belongs underneath the ceramic blanket.
