    Where /how did you put your fuse? My horn switch is dead and I don't want to take off my steering wheel to replace it so I'm going to try this method thanks!

    thanks for the input, the reason why i didnt go into specifics is because this video is a generic video on how to install extra horns and its not specific to the ranger. On both sides of the firewall on the ranger there is large rubber grommets that you can feed cable through, in this particular case i ran the cable behind the reservoir bottle, through the grommet and it comes out just above the accelerator pedal. I hope this helps

    I appreciate the video, general in nature. But I do need more specifics. You mention a relay. I have extra relays. How would that work? BTW, my main horn isn't working right now, so I am looking to set it up with a separate switch. And the fuse - how did you incorporate a (standard vehicle - or an inline/tube) fuse into the circuit? [Am guessing somewhere before the horn's positive terminals]

    maybe find out why your main horn isnt working first in case its the switch in your steering wheel or something else

    Why is there two wires coming off the switch?

  • @tanndem3826

    @tanndem3826

    One wire runs from the battery to the switch, the other runs from the switch to the horns. Basically it’s one long wire from the battery to the horns with a switch in the middle to decide when the horn receives power

    just put some temp wires on them, touch them directly on the battery terminals and see if they work , that will give you an idea of which way they go

    Why not just use the power from the original horn ?

  • @TheInsightDistrict

    because if the after market horns have a fault or draw too much power, it can blow the fuse for the stock horns and then neither of them will work
