Appreciate it player. This tuner was bought used on Ebay. Tune power depends on your mods. If you just put a tune on with no mods you can gain up to 20hp &20tq.

Good stuff! You going with Ripp Supercharger? This tuner would work. Its cheap for a used one. You can get it for less than $200. Even the stock tune wakes the car up! So you can imagine when you get a custom one. Depending on the gas octane you use a stock tune will give 15 to 20 HP/TQ.

I didn't have any codes come on with my tazer. The tuner can clear the code and tell you what it means.

You will need to update your tuner by connected it to the computer and using the program that is on it online.

When you plug up the tuner and try upload the tune you'll receive an error message that the VIN number doesn't match. That means its locked to another vehicle. To unlock you will have to have the original owner trestore their car back to stock and give you back the tuner. Or you will have to contact Diablosport, pay a fee (maybe $50 to $100) to have them give you the instructions to unlock it.

Hey I have a dodge challenger 2014 v6 with a Straight pipe and cold air intake , should I do this throttle bottle mod next ? Does the throttle bottle require a Tune before or after install and do i really have to get a tune ? And what tune would that be or what do u recommend

Yeah add if you looking to gain more throttle response and torque down low. No tune is required but i would for absolutely recommend it. Get a used diablosport dcx intune i1000. Cheapest route.

2015+ Dodge's need to have the PCM unlocked 1st. This tuner wouldn't work with it. I wouldn't be concerned with a diablosport tuner messing up your engine even though its old. Its a mild tune and you'll be fine. Now if a tuner gave you a custom one that was programmed badly that's a different story 😆.

Do you have any pros & cons in installing a custom tune? How much did you pay for the tuner? If you revert back to the OEM Tune, can you use the tuner on other V6 vehicles? Thanks Bill

I dont have any cons about a tune. I like the flexibility with adding or removing it whenever I like. As long as you remove the tune and put the car back to stock, you can use it on other vehicles that it is compatible with.

I know i'm late, but how do you unlock the PCM? Also I see you had options (overkill mod 1 & 2, 91 octane, 87 octane etc.) Were do you get those options from? or is it already installed when you buy the tuner?

With models 2015+ you will need swap out the locked pcm with an unlocked one from a tuner company. Models 2014 and under all you need is the Diablosport tuner since its plug n play. Those other options you saw on my tuner were from my tuner Overkill Will. He sent me the files for them after data logging.

I dont think Overkill Will tunes the pentastar engine anymore. Here is his website www.getoverkilled.ca/pentastar.html Typically when you get a custom tune they provide some additional tunes as part of the price. 👌🏿 You can also tell them what you are looking for.

It's not about the tuner its about the supporting mods you have that go with it. Getting a tuner by itself on a stock car can 10hp to 20hp. Diablosport is my preference of tuners.

Yeah it would wake the car up a little more since your stock. But remember 2015+ need have an unlock pcm and a tuner. So you looking close to $1K for it.

This really would have been a great video if you would have let your listeners hear that before and after to see if it even matters to them

Custom tuning is changing the cars programming for air and fuel ratios to increase horsepower and torque. The car will be more responsive and perform better.

You know if there are any types of burble tunes compatible with these engines? I’ve got a 2015 300C Platinum with the 3.6L and I’d love to get some bangs out of it.

'burble tunes'? What you mean? For the 2015+ you will need to swap out the PCM since it is locked for a unlocked one and then you can buy the tuner. Might cost you about $1K. But Diablosport or HP Tuners would serve you well. :-)

Mr. 300C Gotcha. And sorry, not sure how other people refer to it other than a “pop tune”. It’s most commonly used on BMW’s and performance turbocharged cars and even N/A cars. My friend has a 2011 328i with a straight 6, N/A, as well as my friend with an FR-S (N/A) and they managed to put a tune on to make their cars backfire like crazy. I was curious to see if that would be possible with our engines.

Or can I have a little bit of gas, like close to empty and then put 93 in? Every video doesn’t explain that and I just don’t want to mix the fuels together to harm the engine

You'll be fine. Get as close as you can to empty then put in the 93. A small mix won't do any harm to the engine.

Oh i see. All those other tunes were tweaks he made each time I added mods to the car. You should have your tune adjusted by Overkill everytime when add more performance parts or if you noticed something isn't right. My exhaust. Ebay. Bought it used. DCX i1000 intune tuner by Diablosport. This definitely works for 2012.

Yeah you need to update your tuner. Make sure you have the Diablosport software downloaded on your computer. If not, they have the driver file on their website.

The 2015+ will need to have the PCM swapped out (anywhere from $600 to $800) first then you can buy the tuner. I say Diablosport or HP Tuners.

Depending on the tune you can get around 20hp to 25hp. So its a nice little bump in performance. The car is more responsive and a little more quicker. You can shave off a few tenths off of your 0 to 60 times.

Not this particular tuner. You will need the newer ones from Diablosport. And you will need to swap out your PCM for an unlocked one since you have a 2015+ Mopar. On a stock car, a tune will definitely make the car perform better and wake it up more.

Absolutely! Just make sure its the right tuner by them. Depending on the octane gas you can get 10 to 20 hp/tq on a stock car. The car will be more responsive and will perform better. Plus with no top speed limiter, you can go past 120mph 🐺

The tuner has pre-installed canned tunes which are better than stock. When work with a tuner programmer like Overkill, diablotoona, or jay greene etc., you can have them provide you custom tune after you send them your datalog files.

The highest octane gas you can get. For me its 91. Others its 93.

Yup. If you have 93 gas where you live use that with the can tune. Its a little bit better than 91. But you won't be able feel the difference 😊. Its all minimal gains.

So the canned tunes (the ones preinstalled) will give you up to 20hp/20tq depending on your fuel grade choice. But if find a programmer like Overkill Will, hemifever, or diablotoona for example they can squeeze out more for you.

I no longer have the car😁. Its been a few years. But the tune was excellent when I had it. It didn't cause any problems. I'd highly recommend it for the 3.6L. Better driving experience.

I first would make sure your tuner is updated with the most recent version. Then follow the instructions during uploading.

Yup its a pentastar engine. The 2015+ you have to swap out the pcm since it is locked, and ship it to Diablosport for an unlocked one. Then you'll be able to use a tuner.

Man D-wade is my favorite player! Still sad he retired but it makes sense! 😅 So a tune on a stock 3.6L will net you 15 to 20 hp. Not too much, but your car will be more responsive and have a few tenths knocked off your 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times. You can find a used tuner like how I had on eBay for like $200. So that in my opinion makes it worth it.

The 2015+ need to have their pcm swapped out since it is locked. Then you can buy the tuner from diablosport to tune the car. You're looking at $800+ or so.

Not this particular tuner since a DCX one. There are other models that would work for you.

Absolutely! It will wake your car up more.

You may want to try the Tazer from Zautomotive. This will give you line lock to make it easier to do a burnout. The tuner wont fix your issue.

Yeah the tuner will get rid of the governor for sure. But i don't think the governor is causing the burnout issue.

Can it be uninstalled so the dealer doesn't know you have it because I have a lifetime warranty

If you tune you car you will void your warranty. They will know even if you uninstall it.

Whats good man im the rookie at this so ill have a ton of questions for you. my 1st question to you is do i need to have any mods b4 i try any tunes on my 2018 dodge charger gt and does the tuner save the original tune just incase. Also when ur referring to 91 octane is that the fuel does that mean i cant use premium fuel 93 anymore. Thank for ur help.

Sup! I love questions. So for the 2015+ chargers you need unlock the pcm first (removing it from the car and sending it to Diablosport and they send you back a unlocked one). Then you have to buy the tuner to install the tunes. 91 octane is fuel. We dont have 93 where i live. You can use 93 if your area has it.

Not this particular tuner. The 2015+ have locked PCMs so you will need to swap out your stock one for a unlocked one. Then you can buy a tuner from Diablosport to tune your ride.

Oh yes! Very! This gives you more options if you start adding more performance parts. Even the stock diablosport tune is worth it over a stock Charger. Really wakes the car up!

I will say yeah is my guess. Check diablosport.com to see. I've used this tuner to read engine codes on my 2013 Dodge Caravan too 🤷🏿‍♂️

I don't believe this messed up the car. It only tunes the engine. Now later on I had some transmission problems but has nothing with tuner.

The diablo tuner will be better than stock, but a custom tune will be better than that. But the all time best is a dyno tune.

Mr. Pentastar Do when you get your Diablo you just plug it in and it gives you a tune? You don't put in the things you have on the car? Exhaust? CAI? And so on? But the custom tune does tune it based on the things you have already right? I believe to get the best out of those products?

The 2015 and up chargers need to have their PCM unlocked first before you can simply plug in the tuner and load up the tune. To get the most power and use out of your mods, use the tuner after adding your mods. Custom tunes will be modified based on what you have done to the car. You just need to find someone who does it.

Changes how the computer on your car thinks. Changes to air mixture, fuel, timing, etc. All of this causes the car to respond better and increase horsepower and torque.

@@cterf3724 tough to tell since I didnt dyno it after installing it. These were more readjustment to make the car run better. But with the mods I had, overall I would guess I added 50+ hp and 60+ tq
