This may be in fact how most cubicle curtain track is installed; but, it’s not generally the architecturally accepted manner…Most CDs will specify cubicle curtain/IV track shall be mounted onto the surface of the ceiling system with #8 screws, separated by round metal spacers, at points not to exceed 24" OC, to independently supported 2.5" (minimum) 20 ga metal stud suspended from structural framing above with 12 ga vertical hanger wire, capable of supporting 200 lb dynamic load at any point.

You only need spacers on a tegular ceiling tile.This video lacks too many details. Not an instruction video, just a PR video.
