⁠​⁠@@Poncho2007you need an Y usb cable. Your hard drive needs more power because the usb ports on the wii u are low power.

I have a few questions about this: 1: Is homebrew required in order to do this? 2: You mention you have games on your Wii U folder backed up that you will extract into the SD card, how did you get said files? Is there a way I can look for other files to extract on there? 3: How can I find files to extract to the SD card? 4: Some of the files I want modded in are downloadable content for a game already on my Wii U. Does DLC files still count as regular game files? As in, when it’s being downloaded on the Wup GX2 will it automatically get put into the game?

Hey so I've been following your guides pretty much all day and they've been really helpful I'm just confused as to what the external hard drive is for and if I really "NEED" it or is it suggested. I have all of my games pretty much installed on my SD (128 GB) so with all that space would I really need the hard drive? could I not just install on nand instead of USB?

Should be the same for the wii, they are both the same console, I have one hdd for wii u games and one for wii and gamecube. Since you can't really have all 3 on the same drive(outside of wii/gc vc), the wii u with usb loader gx will play wii and gamecube fine, everything else like vc, wii u games, etc should be in the same place, if you need to know where to get Wii U games/dlc/updates, you can get NUSSPLI or Wii U downloader.

Is there a way to have the Wii games appear on the vWii instead of them just going on the WiiU?

On my pc I can not get WBFS Manager 3.0 to work.

You can only do that if you install it through NAND, if you use a USB then the game you deleted will also be gone in the Wii U

I just couldn't play DLC after I installed the game + DLC. tried so many times DLC just not showing playable in the game

I have an issue where it says verify wuo files are correct & compleate. Dlc/e-shop require sig patch. Is there a way i can get past this issue?

what to do if it just sits at the installing screen and no progress is made? No bytes are being transferred to my external usb hdd. I have about 10 other games on the drive, i can access them, manage them, play them just fine. This used to work just fine for me. Now the install does nothing.

you could try remaking the wup file, i've had that happen for a download i tried to install and i just got it from a different source and it worked

Gamecube virtual console? I been looking for a way to use my gamepad to play them. Just use usb loader gx. That's what I do for using my pro controllers. Also just to confirm wiimote n nunchuck works but not well as the movements r also inputs.

Just Google uwuvci and Look for Tutorials. N64 and GameCube Games are only playable with Wii or Wii U pro Controller. Hope i could help

If its from nintendo then it should work. GC games should also work with it. You need to use a wii mote instead of the gamepad to deactivate the gamepad.

makes ure they are installed to the same storage device as your game. aka if your game is on nand, install dlc to nand etc

You need to get the sig patch file. You can see the placement folder in my main Wii u modding guide during the SD setup

0:28 There's really no other way to install other than having an sd card as the middle man? That's pretty inefficient, also to fill up 2tb, your sd card would probably die by then.

Because it's formatted to the Wii u. You will only be able to add games to it by using wup installer gx2

@@funkyscott47 You should definitely check it out! And I heard you don't need a capture card to record footage to a pc. Just a ps vita homebrew plugin! I also just ordered my ps vita yesterday so I don't know what it's like to own one, but i've seen tons of videos and it seems like a great console for modding! There's even a Discord client called Vitacord, but it only has the chat function. You can't call people or anything. But the vita is still so cool!

No, it shouldn't matter, should be fine. When you install the game using NUSSPLI it will ask if you wanna download updates and I think dlc too.

If you play the games using a vwii emulator you can, but if you want it on the Wii u menu, it can't be installed to the SD

you need to the sig patches file in the correct spot on your sd card. check out my main wii u modding video, i show you how in there, or you can just look it up too
