Thank you for making this tutorial! I've been spending the past several hours trying to figure out how to get GameCube games onto my Wii U and this video had me up and running GameCube games in 5 minutes!! I jailbroke my Wii U years ago with Tiramisu, and I remember seeing a Nintendont menu pop up at some point, I just don't remember how. So I searched around and it said you could launch it from the Homebrew Channel when you go into Wii mode. Well apparently I didn't have that, so then I read you had to jailbreak your vWii to get it setup, and it started giving me a headache because I needed to do all that, just to install a Nintendont button just so I could launch it to play a GameCube ISO, and then on top of that I was reading about how Aroma and was better, but I later found out it didn't have RetroArch support so I put that on hold for now. Your video basically said to get some Rhythm Heaven keys, find your GameCube ISO, and inject it with WUP Installer (which I already had on my Wii U's Homebrew Channel). Done!

The timing couldn’t be any better as I was just thinking about doing this! Thanks for all the great tutorials Scott!

For those that want to do phantasy star online 1&2 for it to work when is says set time to internet clock or online clock select NO and the game will run, if you select yes the game will get stuck in an endless loop of trying to fix the time and lock up and since you selected yes it will be saved on that file as yes. So, you would have to file the save file and delete it to get the option again to set online clock to pop up. So just remember just select NO and you will be fine. It says it's not compatible, but it works. But I can't remember if I used the patched version with Wii U helper (USE ISO TO PATCH or if i used UWUVCI as I have used both methods, but not sure which one i used for PSO. So, if one doesn't work try the other one.

This worked for me, thank you so much for this tutorial and helping me with everything about modding my Wii U

by "choose your region" when selecting base ROM, do you mean the region you are in (i.e. the language you want the game to be in) or the region your console was originally locked to?

I have a question: will old save data from Nintendont (memcard emulated) be read after doing this? In my experience, each method used to launch a gamecube game results in a different set of save data. For example, I can load Nintendont games through USB Loader GX. Think of it like two Nintendo Switch users: one called Nintendont, and the other USBGX. Nintendont and USBGX both load save data, but they're different from each other. I have two unique saves that depend on the method I used to launch the game. All that to say, will my save data from Nintendont transfer to an installed title, or should I expect to now have a third user? If anybody has tested this, let me know 👍

Hey scott for some reason my wup gx2 is acting up i was able too download a few games on too my hdd but earlier when i tryed too download some more it would almost finsh downloading and give the error that says usb not found also when trying too download it off nuspli i get a lib curl error

Has anyone else had this problem? I can only get gamecube games to launch after I have already launched a vwii game. If I try to launch a gamecube game right after booting the system I just get a black screen.

hi, whenever i try to entr the title and common keys, I get black boxes where I should be able to paste the keys. I even tried clicking where i know the buttons would be and nothing. anyoone else have this probllem? its driving me nuts! I dont have a wii mote and really dont wanna have to get one to go through the virtual wii process. thanks!

How do you get a larger GameCube memory card for games like Sims 2? I am able to save on other games but don't have enough space on Sims 2 GCN.

For gamecube games is there a way to play them using the official Nintendo gamecube controller adapter for wii u? I was thinking about getting one of the adapters and I just wanted to know if that would work.

It's strange to me that all these years later and memcard emulation is still not checked by default. I've never played anything without having that option selected. Is there even a use-case for a game where you WOULDN'T want it to remember your save? The only one I can think of is speedrunning perhaps.

Hello i just have a question about the Wii u so i dont have Autoboot on so it doesnt start to Aroma but When i only turn off the console with the Wii u gamepad then it Starts Directly to Aroma is this normal?

I tried to inject raving rabbids party collection and when i pressed inject it just show "Inject game-please wait" and noting else .I don't now if it's because of the game got 6 gigabytes but does everyone know? It's been 3 hours and I'm still waiting for the inject to finish!

After the injects , can you change the settings in nintendont and itll save when i load the game again on the home screen?

Every time I try to use this injector it never works, it either won’t download the base or when it’s injecting the progress bar never fills up, any help would be good

When I download the Base, the progress bar gets to a point where it says "Completing download, eta not available...". It stayed like this for 2 hours. Any idea what that's about?

one big advantage of inject vs Nintendont for GC is that I can use my gamepad unlike on Nintendont.

Can u use a hard drive instead of an sd card, cuz sd card Im pretty sure is more risky plus the hard drive has more storage
